It is supposedly better for cornering/handling. On the downside it ensures that you cant rotate tires front back, hence more uneven tire replacements. Granted, staggered widths do the same for rotations

I would assume floating caliper like the G80. Especially if this has an electric parking brake (which most interior spy shots have shown).

Looking good! I think there is high hopes for the G87. Still retains that aggressive small coupe appearance.
If they have the carbon buckets in them as well, it will be a worthy upgrade for F87 owners in a few years

Nice aggressive front fender flare! I'm beginning to really think the lack of DCT is a deal breaker after review some of the new m3/ m4 reviews. Many referenced less responsive shifts from the ZF 8 speed.

Give it the manual, cf buckets, cf roof and make IOMG available as a color and I might be getting another M2.. if it doesn't gain 300 lbs in the process

Give me a base m2 with a stick at the same price as F87...leave the nonsense paraphernalia and gimmicks for the M4. Do agree with the IOMG. |

Enough of this carbon carbon everywhere. I get the weight savings but I'm not going to benefit from it using as a DD.
It looks like crap and reminds me of my grandfathers' "carbon pants" he seems to have worn in all those old pictures he had in the dining room. |

Most likely similar set up as G8x to save cost, no DCT and with fake side grille.

Don't think so BMW is trying to save cost and you don't see it on the G8x series.

Bring the base in at 415hp or so with limited options, and maybe almost a stripped down "raw" version. I am thinking $60k for the low end starter price. Then bring in the Comp with 435hp (I think you need to keep this number under the current CS to keep things in line). Offer HUD, those new sweet seats and individual paint with the Comp and a lot of the 3/4 buyers would line up for it. I think even if it was pushing low end M3 territory on price. So, maybe $80k for an individual colored absolutely loaded comp. But also have the Comp available with manual and similar limited options that are offered now. With no "new" grill, I think they could really grow sales for this model with a format like this. Last edited by jdubm2c; 03-10-2021 at 10:19 PM.. |

Looking really good. The proportions and silhouette look like it's a proper BMW. The size looks right too, always thought the F87 was a little too stubby at the rear end.
