The car has just arrived at the dealership. Exactly 3 months from the moment I ordered it (around 10-15 April) to delivery

I expect to take it home at the end of the week.
Full detailing job + front PPF and full ceramic coating planned during the weekend.

Oh wow!

A couple of weeks before production I added the CF exterior package. Soooo glad that I did. Mainly I wanted the front CF intake, but that rear diffuser is incredible too!

My car is hopefully on a truck and should be here this week or next.

I am super excited about this paint color. I went back and for for a long time. Brooklyn Grey>Frozen Dark Grey Metallic>Frozen White then landed on Dravit. I love the color and I have never owned a car in a color like this.

Ah, loaded like mine. Love it. Finally someone else with CCBs on Dravit. And the first time you pass over 155, you'll realize the M Drivers Package was worth it.

Really interested in Dravit grey for my soon, so soon, order! Just curious what current owners think, if you were going to powder coat the factory wheels a bronze or subdued gold color, would you go with the 825s or 826s? Thanks!

I am not a fan of the 825 "bladed" look. I like the more symmetrical 826's.

And the 826's look closer to the coveted gold 1000M wheels.

I am thinking about bronze or matte/satin bronze for the winter wheels, but I will leave the 826's stock.

Again, all very subjective! My right answer doesn't work for you. And my understanding is that a lot of the factory demo cars (in Europe maybe?) were coming with 825's, so it is definitely a look the factory promotes.

I am not in Europe and as a WFH person in the southern United States, I can get by without a winter set. I just think a slight goldish bronze looks so damn good with dravit, but can't decide between orbit grey 825M or bicolor 826M as the base wheel to order from the factory and use.

Edit: from screenies; I feel like the 826 shines better in a bright gold, and the 825 is better in a more subdued, satin-ish bronze (which I would prefer with dravit), but it is hard to decide.

Yeah it is hard because you are trying to imagine each wheel in a non-OEM color. I wish there was a way to do a computer mock up on different wheels and colors. I'm trying to figure out how to do it myself.

To be honest, I think both would look very good in powder coat.

Yeah, it's apples to oranges to some extent. I have seen 826 in a bright gold that is amazing and 825 in a bronze that is amazing. Depends on little things.

I am not a fan of the 825 because it brings too much silver to the face of the wheel. But that might be exactly what you want on a powder coated wheel. So many subtle differences.

I want a replica set of E46 M3 CSL wheels that fit the G80. Those would be incredible in a satin bronze.

Nope, walked around this, and went in and ordered it. I told myself if I ever ordered a BMW, it would be Fashion Gray, but Dravit it is.

Saw this color on a 7 series a while back and then ok a M8 comp and had to have it if I ever got another BMW.

The frozen colors can look great, but I was concerned about their higher maintenance requirements (and higher cost). I haven't picked mine up yet but I love the dynamic nature of DG in different lighting.

Among auto enthusiasts, a brown manual station wagon is supposed to be some kind of holy grail. I find traditional brown to be a little boring, but DG and its copper undertones offer whispers of that color in a much more interesting fashion...
