My X3 MC (although built in SC, USA) had the same small flaw. The passenger doors, mainly the RR one was out of alignment just a touch. But to get it back into German precision tight specs, it would require a fair amount of work & possible damage the adjacent panels / window trim. So after speaking with many highly respected professionals I've chose to simply live with it & accept that this M monster isn't perfect. Like us & the world we drive / live in.

Hey Forza,
Same here. Received my X3M, it was sliced up on the rear from careless delivery, came from SC. My M3CXdrive came on a nice boat. Must have been some rough waters. It was delivered a little sliced on the door. Also, the paint was all jacked up on the hood and other portions on the front. But, it all got remedied by the dealer after a nice discussion. Still laughable that a 100K vehicle can be delivered in such questionable condition.

You ever see the videos on how they load and unload those boats?

I love how BMW owners complain one car came out with slightly off alignment of the door. Meanwhile at Boeing they don’t even put screws in the door….

I had x3 30 from Mexico come in with all kinds of plastic covers not secured in place, uneven gaps on the hood on both f32. 540 was fine and most recent g82 is well put together. My wife’s A5 has rear passenger door stick out a little too. It is what it is. At least it’s easy to adjust hood and trunk XD

I could see what looks just like my car (a frozen black m3 touring) getting assembled.

My 2024 indie paint car is perfect everywhere except for the passenger door. It's slightly angled...lower at front and higher at back. Can tell by looking at the main belt line. Most would never see it, as it's just a tad annoying. Car was delivered with no damage history/disclosure and uniform paint meter readings. Wondering if I bitch to dealer to line it up perfectly.

Here's a photo of my issue. The misalignment is also top to bottom meaning the bottom of the door sits flush with the rear door panel but the top sticks out as seen in the photo. It's not major at all but was just surprised it was missed and it's why I laugh at the final inspection part of these marketing videos.

Just unbolt the the latch (on the b-pillar) "just two large torx screws" & push it in towards the interior. Then tighten those tow torx screws back up snugly. There, problem solved. The solution to your issue is relatively easy to resolve.

I went to BMW Welt and did a factory tour in English. The video is pretty spot on and the tour was amazing. I highly recommend it if you are ever in München (Munich).

The images showing the door misalignment is a pretty easy fix, as Kevin said that is the way to fix what you described. Should take a couple of minutes only. Bear in mind it will be a little harder to close until the door rubber compresses.

Tesla has been trying very hard to be the Boeing of the automotive world but it seems that they still have some work to do
