I love the CSL carbon grille but it says not compatible with active cruise control. I didn’t order my car is there a quick way to know if my car has ACC or not?

if you have a giant radar sensor in your grille it has ACC

Before I start a new thread, are there any grilles for the G80 that DON’T require the foam behind the bumber to be shaved away?

I really just want a different grille to give it that little extra custom touch, but dang, I don’t know if I’ve read anyone who has had perfect fitment without shaving foam away. I also don’t understand why.

Thoughts or feedback?

Also would be interested. I have read that the OEM CSL and CS grilles are plug 'n play but I would have to have to deal with the emblems.

This was a PITA to learn on my own. Scratched up my headlights taking that damn bumper off and on so many times.

If doing again, I'd:
a) take off the entire foam piece.
b) take off the outer foam piece.
c) keep it stock as its becoming cool now

Does anyone make a CSL/CS style grille in carbon fiber with the red outline? I can only find it in CF without the red or in gloss black with the red.

Could have swore the dealer was selling the csl gloss one with red stripe for like $700, can't find the part number now.

Yep my CS has the gloss black one with red stripe but I want a gloss carbon fiber grille with the red stripe. Haven't found that combo for sale yet

The red stripe on the OE CS/CSL front grilles is actually just a vinyl application, unlike the available aftermarket options which use paint instead.

With that said, your easiest option would be to purchase the CF grille of choice and either purchase some red vinyl to apply yourself, or just have a detail/wrap shop copy your OE grille.

Interesting I thought it was painted by BMW. They did a great job on the installation as I don't see any bubbles or lift on the edges. I will give it a shot do you have any recommendations on which wrap/color would match the oem red best?

I also added the CSL red vinyl on my hood since it has the same CF cutout design. I was going to add the roof stripes but they say M4 CSL towards the rear

Unfortunately it's not something we've looked into, and BMW doesn't sell the front grille red applique separately. To make sure you get the best color and width, along with a good application, we assume it'd be easiest to head to a professional vinyl shop.
