Probably carbotechs for track duty and whatever's cheapest for street. I threw my stockers back on for the time being. Was going to go with cobalt as they are fairly close by but 1k for a set has my wallet crying a little too hard for a consumable.

Initial bite always good and gets better when hot. I used brake pads that are recommended by my track friends and manufacturers.
EBC wise, I never tried it. Almost, but decided not too after track friend doesn't recommend it.

Yeah don't I'm at the track now and they're not holding up. Very disappointed.

Can anyone confirm how the EBC blue stuff compare to Ferodo DS2500 on track? (Especially brake fade and pad/rotor wear)

The latter was my go to for daily driving + track duty, but seems like they are not available for the G82 yet.

Just want to clarify my experience is with EBC Blue NDX, I think there were just blue in the past and they were a different compound.

I'd say they are pretty similar, I found less dust with the EBC blue and the fade resistance driving my heavy M340i on track was very impressive, I was able to have more fade using ds2500 on my M2.

As for wear I'd say the Blue's seemed a little bit better but they are still a street/track pad and when you push hard they wear fast vs a true track pad.

I think with a brake cooling kit like ppl are installing in there G8x using 2500's or blue's could be more interesting than before, I just love not having squeel and fiddling with pad change every track day.
