I am in Frankfurt now. Observing VWs new mantra for its ID city car.
It's all about e-positivity folks The environmentalists and Offended will not like that. Mercedes have pulled off another inception with its building, within a building, within a building in a building.

I'm prolly nit picking semantics but it doesn't sound like an exact cut and paste from g22 to m3/m4 to me is what I mean

An important exercise to complete if you remain skeptical is to examine the grills of every single M Division product and try to find one that is not shared with a Series vehicle. Spoiler alert: there are none. To be clear, the grill slats and or other content within the grill openings will differ as usual. But the grill-surround will be the same across the vehicles in question. |

Actually, I did forget about one - you're correct. That was a first as far as I know (at least in recent history, if not all the way back to the original M5). But then the M2 itself is an outlier in more ways than one - it didn't get a unique engine until years after launch, and the 2 Series probably wasn't even conceived with the S55 in mind. So it stands to reason that they had to rework the front end to accommodate it. Prior to the M2 Competition, the M2 shared the grill with the 2 Series, including both the original and the LCI models.
