They are just Autotecknik CF spats. Ind has them.

As far as if I like the look, not really. But I know from my prior M cars the whole lower front door would get chipped to shit. So function over form for me.

I can already tell from washing the car there is not as much stuff flung all over the sides.

18 mm up front, lowered, will rub in reverse imo. I have 15 mm square on michelin and after 3-5k miles they rub in reverse turn. I've been too lazy to pull the wheels to heat and hammer the fins. May try the 18's as well.

Did you have to cut the front fins to run the 18s?

You can slice them down with the wheel on the car if thats easier for you. You just got to crank the wheel inward on whatever side you are working on.

I switched to 18mm this past weekend. Running Pirellis. I'm content with the look now.

Installed 18s up front with new set of wheels OE spec and PS4S, zero rub whatsoever. Full lock and reverse no issues or sound. Still have to install the new extra low MSS springs. Currently on regular MSS up front.

Looks good. Do you have any more of the wheels?

You lowered?

Did you trim the plastic up front to run the Pirellis? I have 18mm for the front and rear I plan to install. Not lowered yet, but will be soon enough....

I have not trimmed the plastic yet. I've noticed I hardly do full locks with the steering wheel, so rubbing hasn't been an issue.

So with most lowering springs, would 12/12 or 15/15 be a very safe bet in terms of not rubbing at full compression while driving aggressively? (stock 19/20 wheels and tires)

Depends on the tires. If you have Michelins then you won't rub up to 18mm for sure up front.

If you have Pirellis you'll rub 12mm and beyond. It's very slight rub at 12mm though. Not going to damage anything. I'm running 18mm on Pirellis, it only rubs at full lock but it doesn't bother me since I hardly do full locks.

I finally got my 18mm Matt Shnell spacers. I just haven't put them on yet. Can't wait to see the difference and I will move the 15mm to the back. That's what you have, correct?
