Other then weight, my assumption is that the Akra system will flow CFM differently than the stock pipe. Either resulting in an addition or removal of back pressure. Certain motors benefit from each differently. Im sure that an Akra pipe is designed to work along with some additional mods i.e tuning etc. At least on our race bikes etc thats the case. Weight is a by product of switching to titanium etc the gains are generally a more free flowing system with flow tested crossover points and sometimes even hotspot changes. Im not taking about just a slip on style exhaust but a true full system. Turbo/Down's back.

Guys, to your knowledge, in order to replace the downpipes does the entire powertrain need to be removed? I saw a couple of pictures online with the engine+gearbox removed from the car just to access the downpipes, is this possible or was it just a goofy guy?
