I love shiny paint and I was planning PPF + ceramic coat for my upcoming M3 but now I'm considering xpel stealth which is a totally different look! Decisions decisions...

I def prefer shiny myself. Really brings out the color! Xpel Stealth is cool too!

Did you apply PPF to the headlights?

I was advised not to by the dealer on the new M3s. Wasn't really given a reason. Would like to know the science behind it if headlights are a no no.

Not on headlights. Just front bumper and full hood. Didn't ask about it though.

I have heard that the shop you get it done at is more important than the product used, so I have a local shop in the suburbs of Chicago that came highly recommended. They offer either a Modesta or Gtechniq for ceramic. It also offers PPF, either partial or full front. Or full car.

I'm kind of torn on what to get for an M550i I have coming in next week. I got Permaplate done at the dealership on my E60 and F01, as well as the PPF, but I was thinking of going the third party route this time.

Flash Mobile where I did it uses Gtechniq and no don't ever do detail work at a dealership!
