Just flipped again to 112. Just hoping this time it's for real.

I have no idea. I've called Genius a few times and they don't seem to differentiate between "start" and "end" of completion weeks. I think there's just a single week number in the schedule and it's obviously variable.

Maybe genius is "under promising and over delivering" with their build week explanations. If our production is completed by the build week, we're happy. If production starts at the build week, they're on schedule.

The week Genius gives you is the week you start.

How can I tell my status code & flips? .

My Garage shows status as order received, which I would interpret as status 111. Called Genius Today and was informed my status is Scheduled for Production, build week 20, May 15th - 21st. I asked what status code and Genius commented they don't like to provide that information. With Genius saying I am scheduled for production should make me a 112, just wondering how you are able to see your status code online?

45-->47-->49-->50-->1-->4-->8-->11-->???

I don't understand the algorithm used to pick which cars get built.

*sigh* It frustrates me that BMW cannot provide a consistent answer to customers, and go one step further in being transparent about the process. I called Genius today, who confirmed I'm still at Week 21, which aligns with May 15 - 21. So either that means that week 20 *ends* May 15-21 (week 21 *starting* that same week), or they just throw darts at a calendar and it doesn't really make any difference.

To answer your questions:

1) There is no big secret with what the production status codes mean. Here's the list. When the website says "Order accepted," you can look it up and see it maps to 111. There's no ambiguity there.

2) To see your code with your own eyes, simply surf on over to mygarage.bmwusa.com, go to "Track my BMW", and then use your browser's "developer mode" to view the underlying data. On Chrome, it's under the View > Developer > Developer Tools menu. In the big panel that opens up on the right, select the "Application" tab, and then "Session Storage" from the left-hand menu, and then the "https://mygarage.bmwusa.com" sub-menu.

Navigate the list of key-value pairs in the columns to the right. Select the "garage" key, and then drill-down into the details in the JSON explorer below (dataContent > ProdVehicleDetails > 0). You will find "orderStatusCode" there, along with some other interesting details. Once you're at 150 (production), you should also see your VIN in there, and possibly some other details. (See my sample, below.)

Note that the production date/week is not exposed through the website, unfortunately, at least not before production (150).

3) The website will show what your current status is. Some people claim that the Genius line or the CA's have more up-to-date information (by a day or two), which is possible but I'm unsure. You're welcome to call either of them to check, and they should be able to tell you the current status and/or whether the scheduled production week has changed.

Thanks, very helpful. I am still a 111.

You most likely spoke to the woman I spoke to the other day who told me week 15 is the week of April 4th, she was wrong. Week 20 should be week of May 16th.

You should be able to verify if you're 111/112 yourself via developer tools (F12) while on my garage.

To the other week 20's - are you guys still at 112 or did you guys get bumped? I called genius today and thankfully I'm still at week 20 but who knows what will happen as the date gets closer.

FWIW, I don't have the bucket seats nor Fiona/fjord color seats. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Finally flipped to a 112. I think I am the last build week 20 to toggle to 112.

Please let 3rd time be a charm

Reached status 112 (Scheduled for production) yet again today. I cannot see in My Garage if my build week is still week 20 but I do not want to jinx things by asking my CA.

Previously: Week 8 (111 & 112); nothing (105); week 18 (111) week 19 (112); and now week 20 (111 & 112).
