Yeah totally. And just so we’re not missing each other here; my example of an older civic is just me being a silly goose.

The common theme is most complaining about newer designs and preferring the older pre-G chassis cars. I can somewhat understand that, but what fun is it to not embrace the wild new things. I just think it’s a bit prudish when people are not willing to give this new stuff a go. Sitting idle and comfortable is boring.

Jeeze, why all the hate?? There is nothing wrong IMO with this G80 CS model. I would maybe criticize having different color choices. Seems like some are expecting 650hp awd gated 6spd 4 door family saloon

I called a dealership outside of my state and asked how deep is his M3 wait list. I was going hit for a Xdrive since my CA hasn’t been responsive over my M3 CS request. Anyways… I mentioned to the out of state dealer I’m interested in a M3 Comp Xdrive and my current G80 is RWD, the first thing he said was that he had a M3 CS in the exact spec ready for reservation. Deposit placed.

The only thing that I'm complaining about is the fact that for every CS they are removing one or two things for no good reason. For example, this car has no main cupholders, why? The console saves an insignificant amount of weight. The M2 CS has no armrest and simplified climate control. Why? The climate control is like 99% electronics and weighs nothing. The F8x M4 CS had no real door card pockets.

These things don't really save meaningful pounds, but are done to just make the owner think they have a race car. I don't care if they want to make a CS model but let's just not lose features from the base car if they are not actually important. Save the hardcore trimming for the CSL.

And no joke, everyone said the E46 was so much better than the E30. But then everyone said the E30 was the best, until the E92 came out, then that was the best. But then when the F80 came out, the E30 was best again. Then the G80 came out, and the E46 was the best ever, but everyone still wants to see another E92 built! idiots.

An M5CS just looks and feels like it's going to be so much more special than this M3CS. That's the problem currently is that the benchmark for the CS has been raised. Maybe if it had the rear bucket seats like that. Maybe if instead of CSL black and red it had CS bronze/gold.

Perhaps I wouldn't be so jaded if they made it 6MT/RWD but with CSL power and went down the lines of *cough* the Ultimate Driving Machine. Someone might have that trademarked though...

We all buy a 3 for practicality. No cup holders is insanely stupid IMO. taking a shit before you drive will save more weight. Hell, even a piss would save more.

Although I’m biased towards the classic M2C style gauges, I actually don’t mind the new ultrawide gaming monitor on the G cars 😅 I have a bigger issue with the unsightly kickstand that props it up and the fact that all this digitalization somehow did not result in more customizable gauge options.
