The language is may be removed from the order and it looks like I was mistaken. It applies to the 4, including M. But the screenshot I posted was for an M4. The option to select it is still in the ordering system. Now could it be removed later? Possibly.

That's what the language currently says. It does not mention the 3 series. But if you want lasers, the option is there in the ordering system for the M4.

I know that the wireless pad charging is gone
But is the hot spot also gone ? I called Bmw no one seems to know. Wouldn't this affect the wireless car play too ?

I was told that removal of the hotspot does not impact wireless car play.

Well its not a big deal my radar detector was the only thing that would connect I can always use my phone

Do you regret it? My build switched to a 22 and the options changed where I missed out on the laser lights. I am having second thoughts. Double the wait I guess. :

The new pricing was welcome since my 2022 order is actually about $1000 less than the 2021

Also I’m not going to miss wireless charging, my phone overheats like crazy for some reason if using CarPlay +wireless charge

I am keeping my fingers crossed that we see some progress in the area towards the end of the year. I have put down a “non-refundable” deposit for an allocation in October to then take delivery sometime in January. I gave them my full spec (including laser lights) and would be super happy if the car comes exactly as spec’d.

Use your phone. If you have a 5G phone, it's faster anyway. No reason to have a separate account just for your car.

Completely agree! I had the WiFi/hotspot in our Escalade and it seemed to be a complete waste. Most phone plans are unlimited data now and you can offer a hotspot from your phone to an iPad or similar devices so we just canceled it.

The laser lights were on the 2022 X-Drive configurator that was briefly up early this morning. The 826M (black) wheels were not on there nor was the parking assist package. Fingers crossed that the 826M wheels are still an option as that is how I spec’d my G80 Comp X-Drive.
