Just to be clear in the post it might be helpful if you could include what part of the US your car was delivered at.

Here was my timeline. It was just before the chip mess. I could have had it delivered to my dealer sooner if I didn't want to wait for my PCD appointment, but I wanted the PCD experience so I put up with the wait.

I was definitely checking more frequently than I probably should have been. There were a few days where it moved several dots, which was a welcomed sight. The website seems to lag behind the actual status maybe by a few days if you call and talk to the genius to get there information. There's definitely a few things they could do to make that website better. Maybe notifications of progress. If they wanted to get really fancy pictures of your car along the assembly line at the different stages but they will never do that.

Well, hard to officially say. The timeline there said it was sitting at port for a long time. When I called the Genius they kept telling me the date it was shipping from the port to the PC which the website never updated. So it was a combination of waiting at the port and waiting for an open PCD slot. I'm guessing I probably could have had it maybe 2 weeks sooner to my dealer.

I don't think individual increases production time (i.e. from production start onwards). I believe it just delays production start. Thoughts?

And was there additional time beforehand? I'm not sure what that would have involved either because it just took a day or so to get the color approved. Was the start of production delayed? No clue their either.

Those are all RWD. The first M xDrive deliveries in the U.S. are not expected until August.

I assumed a Production Start date of May 15th which is one week before Exterior Body Assembly, which is usually accurate +/- a day or two!
