Water marks on piano black?

View post on imgur.com

How do I get these white/milky looking marks off the grill? It doesn’t look like a water mark, is not chalky looking. I wash the car a couple times a week (at least)…my wash process lately has been:

Foam
Rinse
Re-foam
Contact wash
Rinse
Spray with Adams detail spray or chemical guys after wash
Dry with soft drying towel

Any recommendations on how to avoid and get rid of those spots in greatly appreciated.

I won’t claim to know definitively, but I had a similar problem on the piano black side skirts and interestingly enough, on the side mirror. I suspected it was due to excessive contact time with the foam wash.

After two or three washes and a reduction in wash contact time, it’s completely gone on the piano black. I have a slight residue still on my side mirror but it’s almost completely gone.

It seems like residual soap. I have to dry with cloth each one of these slats and same with applying detailed.

I use CarPro Reload. I like it a lot. Don’t have this issue.
