Cars have been bumped back due to chip shortage of supply.
Mine was due to complete on Tuesday coming but now not due to complete until 7th May... As UK still due at desler 18th May

That's annoying, do you know what sort of chip shortage it is? Also, what date did you order? Just trying to figure out how long it'll take for mine (still waiting for allocation by dealership)

Not sure re chip, genius stated that as delay reason.

Order was placed Friday 12th March. Was locked in Monday 5th. Originally completed tomorrow. Now 7th May. Tentative collection date 18th May from dealer.

Fish and chip shortage. Without a good meal for the assembly workers to look forward to, assembly throughput has dropped.

For US cars, it seems some of ours won't have the standard "blind spot monitoring" due to the parts shortage and are just offering a discount.

Do the UK regulations require one of the standard safety features? It's the only thing I can think of where they would delay the cars instead of offering them without the feature like they did in the US.

It's a toss up. I was initially mid May then they told me week of April 25-May2 prod. So week 17/18?

Perhaps you'll see some movement in the next couple days.

I've been watching the port camera and boy there are a lot of cars that have come in the last couple of days. It's packed! Lot's of boats coming in and out as well.

This has been the most painful part of the process for me so far as between being stuck in dispatched from factory for 14 days and now sitting at port for a while it's agonizing lol. I just keep seeing the days click by not having fun in my new car.

How can you tell how many boats are coming in and out??
Am I right for saying some ships are West Coast and some East Coast??

I have the port camera up most of the time and periodically refresh the page and you can see changes throughout the day as far as the parking lot changes. The boats change as well and you can tell when there is a different one there.

Also you can go to the individual shipping companies and type in the port information and it will give you the times when they will be in the ports. It's pretty cool. https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules. The K-line shipping company I believe does more west coast deliveries and there website also shows when they will be in the ports although the Wallenius site is better in my opinion. Hope that helps!
