Opposite for me. I found the film actually increased glare. The screen already has an anti-glare coating on it and I find it works very well.

I don’t think PPF is a good idea. I’m also not sure how you would get a screen protector 100% bubble free. I have enough trouble putting a screen protector on my phone. Air bubbles would drive my OCD crazy. Like other members have said, I rarely use the touch screen and if it get dirty I’ll just clean it with a microfiber cloth and some LCD cleaner.

Air bubbles aren't as much of an issue as dust in the screen is. Air can get pushed out pretty easily, dust not so much. I'm not sure how my ppf installer did it last time but they got it on bubble free and dust free perfectly. I'm just sad I had to take it off.

I didn't do ppf, but I did install the Studie iD8 screen protector that's sold on IND. I felt like a dry install without using a soap/water spray was easier for me. Key was definitely keeping the screen dust free and fingerprint free (gloves help) and got it on with no issues underneath the protector. Provides a smudge free screen with antiglare which is nice! Another alternative

Just don't hit the buttons on your screen with your watch bezell and I think it will be okay. I'm pretty sure fingertips don't scratch glass...

It's really not recommended to install anything considered "PPF" on the display since it adheres and is difficult to take off in the future.

Something actually designed as a "screen protector" is easy to remove and doesn't use any strong adhesives to adhere itself.

If it is in fact glass, I don’t think PPF is needed

Installed the matte screen protector from website earlier in the thread and now I actually starting to like the look of ID8 compared to ID7 lol.

Yes, I have stealth Xpel ppf on my screen. No issues since it’s been done and reduces glare.

I put a one sheet/tempered glass on mine from amazon. It's the same type people put on their cell phones. Easy install, super clean, looks like nothing is there.

For everyone questioning this do you not have a screen protector on your phone? Like it's all the same. I enjoy the reduced glare and finger prints. I hope to never need the protection aspect but I also use ppf and hope to never "need" that. It's not a hard concept.

Sonic
My car screen isn't going in and out of my pocket, constantly exposed to the elements, and could potentially be dropped or scratched by random things in my pocket...so, no it's not really the same.

Again, the screen protectors actually *increase* glare compared to the stock coating since the anti-glare ones will "spread" it across the protector more than reduce it in spot, which is what the anti-glare coating on the screen from the factory does.

I actually much prefer the matte look to the gloss from the factory, no touch sensitivity loss.

Absolutely love my screen protector I installed. It's the matte version. Great at reducing fingerprints and it does indeed reduce glare for me. Super easy to put on and take off if you are not happy with it. Do not put regular PPF on your screen though.
