Lightbulb E-Sys Coding

Hey all, I wanted to start an E-sys thread to keep track of what we find, and to keep it separate from Bimmercode, as that doesn't have all the functions (yet). Remember, code at your own risk!

First coding I've done is change the color of car in the settings menu from grey to Sunset Orange, as that's the closest to my color. All the individual color cars are set to silver, as the color is not entered into the system. I used the following guide:
https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...78&postcount=1

Anti-Dazzle Enable (Can confirm that it works):
Bimmercode: In the BCU ECU, in expert mode:

LaMaster1
C_BLC_PRE_ENA: 1
LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y: AFS

LaMaster2
C_AFS_ECO_LEVEL_3_ENA: 01
C_AFS_ENA: 01

LaMaster3
LUT_AFS_CODRV_HOR: standard/init
LUT_AFS_DRV_HOR: F040_G005_AHL...
C_CLC_CURV_V2: 23
C_CLC_CURV_V3: 28
C_CLC_EXT_ENA: 01
C_HBA_DIM_ENA: 01
C_HBA_GFHBA_ENA_V_HI: 3C
C_HBA_GFHB_ENA: 01

Then in E-SYS:
Read out the KAFAS modules and change:

C_FLA_COUNTRY_WITH_MULTIPLE_REFLECTORS: 01
C_FLA_US_SENSITIVITY_MODE: 00
C_FLA_BS_ENTER_THRESH: Rest of world
C_FLA_BS_EXIT_THRESH: Rest of world
COUNTRY_VARIATION: Europe_RC
C_FLA_CC_MESSAGE_3: no_CC_message
C_FLA_US_SENSITIVITY_MODE: Normal [00]

If you guys find any other things can be changed, please add it below!

If you can figure out on how to code Sport M Mode at startup that would be cool.

That would be! I'll do some digging. I already checked "LASTUSERMODE", but only get the options "Comfort" and "ECO-Pro". We don't even have an eco mode, do we?

You're doing this part in E-Sys right? KAFAS has multiple FDLs, keep looking through them and use the search function. they're all in the same FDL, so once you find one, you'll find them all.

I think they should be in CAFD 40F9, but all I found are numbers…..
I even tried 40F8, same results

Anyone tried Esys with a G83. I cant seem to get it to connect and emailed codemybimmer for remote coding but was told they might not be able to code remotely due to some new security measure BMW implemented to prevent coding.

Oddly enough I was able to use Bimmercode to code some other stuff but need ESys for coding Anti-Dazzle.

I paid a forum member to code anti dazzle remotely on my G83 after my car was updated to the latest version. So, yes, it's still possible.

Cool good to know. I will try again later but on a dedicated computer with Windows. Was trying to connect with VMware from my Mac but the bridge connection doesn't seem to be working.

I have the 11/2021 version. It was installed by the dealership when my car was in for the 1,200 service

Almaretto Have you coded any Gx recently and can you confirm or deny if there are new security features blocking coding?

What launcher are you using and would you be able to share it? PM me if you can please, I'd be interested in getting it as long as it works with G series, specifically for the G80 and G26. Thanks

Make sure you have PSDZdata v.4.33.31 or greater.

Here's how I connect, use the second S18 Chassis.

Confirming, is Bimmercode required for the anti-dazzle? So need to make changes via bimmercode (paid app), and also via esys?

You can do all the coding with just ESYS. Quoting Moproblems from the bimmercode thread. "There are 4 more codings in the lane assist camera "KAFAS04" which we cannot currently access with bimmercode. Supposedly these will make the auto dim less aggressive while also making the beams tighter. The HBA will still perform extremely well without these changes. These can be changed with Esys."

So as you can see you can code with just bimmercode and it will work great but ESYS will code the rest of the features in.

Everything seems fine except when I "Read ecu" I only have 7 items show up. Missing the kafas section etc….I connected using S18A. Maybe that's the problem….
