Tacky is asking someone how much they make a year. We are g8x owners in a g8x forum. Everyone here can afford the car. And a lot of us would have loved to get that option if we could have or knew how to. OP clearly posted in the forum to let people know that it’s possible. It’s funny, BMW used to offer ‘individual’ interiors too, seen some crazy interiors over the years. I guess it just become too costly and not worth their time and money to do it.

They still offer it, I just did it with my m5 lol

No, if u want non standard color it starts at 16k and up depending what you want to do. For example 17k gets you a color ported from a different series car (say you wanted sakhir orange that's not offered on the 3/4 that's what it would run you) if you want a custom color like barbie pink the costs co up astronomically from there

Wouldn’t be surprised…I asked for Dakar Yellow calipers on my Blue Pozzi/Tartufo G83 (1/1 in the States, according to my dealer) and I was quoted $8500 (got them powder coated in Ferrari Giallio Modena with pearlescent sheen added for $1200).
Wanted blue soft top & Tartufo buckets, but was told ‘no-can-do’ by BMW Individual.
Anyhow…probably would’ve gotten a heart attack with the quote if they would’ve said yes! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

You probably got told no by the dealer lol. I was at the individual lounge in germany and some ceo friend if bmws ceo wanted a special steering wheel, they quoted him 83k for a steering wheel and the ceo of bmw apparently got pissed they were trying to overcharge his friend but then realized that was the "at cost" price for the testing and stuff. They'll literally do anything you want if you're willing to pay for it, but if it's too expensive they'll just say no can do unless you really push for it to avoid tire kickers (since it takes a lot of time and resources just to get the quote)

I don't understand why this specific color is not available in buckets, Tartufo is my favorite interior color.

My car is "order received" so I asked my salesperson if she can request from the factory to get Tartufo carbon buckets and she said the manager called and got denied.
