I absolutely love this color and wish I had ordered it! Unfortunately I did not join these boards until after my order (yeah, I know that was stupid) and everyone was telling me the maintenance of frozen colors was a pain.
For those of you with this or any frozen color, do you get ceramic and/or PPF and how do you clean/maintain it regularly? Thanks and congrats to all the people with great taste who bought these cars! |

I was so nervous about having matte paint that forked out the money for Dr. Beasley's. I have nothing to compare to with regards to matte paint products, but I find it quite easy to clean it with this product. I feel like it gets dirtier maybe twice as fast as my prior marina bay blue? |

Very happy with it. I wanted black so I was between BSM and frozen black. I think frozen black shows off the lines of the car better than BSM and makes it stand out nicely.

For those of you with frozen black, did you add the external carbon fiber package? I didn’t add initially with my build but having second thoughts.
I don’t love the front lower alr inlet honeycomb appearance….but I also think I like appearance of the regular (non-carbon fiber) fin, mirrors, and back on frozen black cars specifically. My dealer said you can order front air inlets from them but cost for them ($3600… plus install) is almost as much as the whole package anyways….plus they are apparently on back order so they can’t tell me when they’d get in. As others suggested on another thread I’ve looked at after market but all seems questionable. I have no desire to take off front bumper to do myself manually either. Thoughts? Does anyone have close up pictures of their frozen black or deep gray with carbon fiber external package? The one I saw in person didn’t have. Thanks guys! For frozen black owners, how are you liking the car color so far I am highly debating speccing frozen black instead of frozen pure gray as my allocation just came up. I really like the meaner, more aggressive. Look that frozen black offers. I am stuck between these two paint options as I really like how the frozen paint accentuates the sharp lines and body angles of the car.
Additionally, how has the paint held up over the course of months or years for current owners? I am planning on adding PPF to the car. Also, how does it look in the sun? I am a little bit concerned that frozen, frozen black will give off a dull finish in the sun. I plan on this being my daily driver. The indecision is killing me! I know there have been various threads and discourse on the form about this topic already but I’m always looking for new input. Thank you! |

Hello,
First, does anyone know how many frozen black m3s there are? Are they limited in quantity? I personally do like the color. I think it is great for this car. It does not pop like IOMG and it seems like you can go more so unnoticed in this color in comparison to the bright colors. I purchased a frozen black m3 3 days ago. I flew to NY to buy it and drove it back to MD. I canceled my order for IOMG M3 after purchasing my new frozen black M3. They had not started building the IOMG yet. These pics are not perfect and were not planned. My wheels are dirty in one of them. I still wanted to post these pictures. Last edited by IdriveM; 12-01-2023 at 02:55 PM.. |

I didn’t do the frozen paint because I was told to do BSM and then wrap. Let’s see what it looks like. |

Beautiful car man! I don’t know the number of cars but I’m interested as well. I have an M4 in frozen black ordered I love the M light graphic on the door. Did you add that or it came with it? Do you know what shade of tint you have on windows? |

Thanks. I added the puddle lights on the doors. I got them from the dealership parts department. I have 20% all around and just a 5% strip on the front windshield.
