Great day to hang out at Town Center this morning despite it being a little chilly. I heard an announcement over their PA about a German-only auto show. Looked it up and it'll be at Lanier Raceway on Sat 15 Apr 2023 and it's called Deutsch Auto Zirkus.

I'm trying to nail down a track day at Barber MSP that day and the next but here's the info in-case you're interested. Looks pretty cool.

It did end up a good temp outside. I ended up in the exhibition lot next to chemical guys as parking was gross. Saw a few G8X's and other BMWs in small groups...we gotta get organized haha

I wanted to park on that side, what time did you arrive? I got there around 7:50 but everything was full and we got stuck in the overflow lot.

I was up in the part where you can't leave till 12 (but I left at 11:45).

Funny, me too but at 11:30. Crowd died down and although the "gate keeper" pointed to her watch she didn't stop me. Don't know if I can make it 05 March yet but if I'm able I'll def be there by 7:15!

The Peachtree CCA meet up was yesterday. Decent turn out compared to what I had seen previously. I think we had a good mix of 20 or more cars. Hope more can make it out in March!

Caffeine and Octane is this weekend. Supposed to be sunny and 68 out. Anyone going? Want to arrange a group ride in? We will need to arrive early if we want to all park together in the exhibition area.

I'll be there for a little bit... probably a little before 9? Taking some friends with me and gotta leave before the required stay time for an exhibit spot, so I'm parking in the premium spectator lot or whatever it's called. Sorry I can't do the group ride in this time around

Sorry I didn't see this before dmand. I was there but arrived too late to park beside the exotics lot, got relegated to the west side where all the food trucks and the motorcycles congregate.

I'll plan on arriving before 06:45 for the April event.

Was yours the one with the carbon fibre engine struts and the body color engine cover (only one I can remember near that area, sorry it's a vague description)? I got there at 9, so don't know if you stayed til then. I saw a twilight purple G82 next to a tanzanite G80 near the japanese ricers, and an IOMG G82 near the I8's.

It was a good event this month, got to check out the LFA and my buddy got to rev it a couple of times.

You saw mine then! The "Tanzanite" is Interlagos Blue thanks to it being a Jahre. It's funny I had a few people ask...the difference in shade is just so slight. The Twightlight one is a guy from the BMW CCA group. Speaking of which there is a Brewery Meet with the CCA at Tucker Brewing Company this Sunday 12:30 to 4 PM.

Beautiful car! I figured it wasn't Tanzanite, and I knew it couldn't be Portimao, I just couldn't think of the color at the time. Interlagos is stunning! I'd have to check my availability, Sundays are usually tough for me as that's the only day off me and the missus share, so she likes to monopolize it.

Been trying to set up my schedule to go to more meets or group drives now that we're coming out of winter. Just been a bit tough

If it was Dravit Grey with CF engine strut brace over by the food trucks then that was me. I got there too late to park where dmand was parked, 20-30 spots "covered" by orange cones when I arrived. I'll be even earlier in April and I'll go buy some cones of my own.

I saw the purple G82 on the way home and chatted with him at one of the stop lights on the way out.

Yeah, its kinda crazy how many people get out there and just hold spots. When I showed up they were everywhere. The corvette guys do that pretty normally but lately it has been all over the place. We usually have some but didn't this time. I kinda wish C&O would go first come first serve.
