Well, he left because he didn’t agree with the direction ///M was taking.

Im moving to a C63. I've been driving BMW's the last 25 years, last 4 cars have been M3/4's. The grill is a deal breaker. It's just too ugly!

I think the F80 M3 looks better than the new M3 in every angle especially the back. I also figured out why BMW designers did that monstrosity to the front. BMW simply could not figure out how to stop car thieves from stealing your F80's by copying the key over the computer so they gave new M3/4 owners an absolute security system by scaring away car thieves.

The hood is very Dodge Charger/Ford Mustang and it's not even functional. To step away from the power dome for this is incredibly disappointing.

This car, Mustangs and the red G82 with "performance parts" now apparently target the same demographic... tacky muscle car racers who only care about 0-60 straight line performance and whose driving input is "full-throttle and hang on tight". (check your tire pressures so you don't jump the barriers, of course! ) ...and BMW couldn't event improve the 0-60 time. |

The grill on the M cars looks better than on the regular 4 Series, but the front fascia looks like they had no idea what they were doing and just gave up.
Also while the F32 front lights worked pretty well on the F30, the G22 front lights don't work on the G20 in my opinion. Even if it had retained the regular G20 grill, they just look/feel too small. The increase in weight is also baffling, I get that the car is 13+ cm longer but good Lord. Especially after the F8x family was focused on losing weight compared to the E9x M cars, that is shocking

I moved on to Porsche at the right time. That thing is so hideous. I am thankful to have owned some cool BMW M cars though.
2XE92's, F10 M5, F82 M4, and finally the F80 M3. They should have keep it along the lines of the F80 M3 and slapped a V8 into. They would have owned the market if you ask me. For those looking on what next to buy. Get your self a nice used 2017-2019 991.2 911.

Feel like the F82 M4 is getting prettier compaires to this new M4. About weight, I'm not sure, anyone took their F80/F82 M3 M4 for a weight? Are those 3450lbs something accurate? Cause the weight gain is just too unreal.

Even the G20(M340i) looks fundamentally more agressive. A little work on the lower section of the front bumper and maybe vertical slats in the grill, plus carbon fiber additions, and you'd have yourself a winner that ups the game from M340i. |

If they just carried the front across and got rid of the lower vertical midline strut it shouldn't change the aerodynamics or engine airflow requirements, and would pay homage to a more traditional BMW appearance. |
