It's in the driving mode setup menu. You need to turn DSC OFF, then you can set the drivetrain mode to 2WD

Finally no more wife giving me the evil eye when I hit MDM mode with them in the car! lol.
Sorry didn't manage to get out yesterday to check due to work but sounds like you're going to code it anyway

I tried it and it doesn’t pop up the M Traction control or M xDrive settings after hitting M2, which I have configured with DSC OFF and 2WD

I’m searching but not finding. Quick question! When I Bimmercode a car (M4 for me X3 M40 for my wife) is that coding specific to the user profile at the time or is it global for the vehicle?

Thank you!

I'm not really sure what you're asking, but when you connect to the car, it reads all the codes before bringing up the options, backups are saved per VIN (as far as I remember), so if you connect to the M4, it'll pull up all the M4 coding stuff and read your current settings, then if you connect to the X3, it'll read all of that and pull up the codes, etc.

No, he's asking if the coding he does on his M4 is specific to the driver profiles, and if he has to code each profile separately, or if he does coding, will those settings stay put when the driver profile is changed. At least that's how I read it.

I believe they are global to the car, regardless of driver profile setting, but I am not sure as I don't use any other driver profiles other than my own.

*Ah* that makes more sense. Yes I believe they're global to the car. Driver profiles just affect the setting choices themselves, not whether the settings are available, hidden settings wouldn't get saved to any profile anyway.

ID7 2022 G82 with a fresh 11/2023.50 software update.

Am I the only one having troubles trying to disable ASD in BimmerCode ? Getting "Coding not possible" in Receiver Audio Module area ...

Had no troubles whatsoever on the 03/2023 update.

I had this issue before; I'm not sure if the update to Bimmercode has been pushed to non-beta, but I needed to be added to the TestFlight version at some point. You can email the dev and he should add you. Once you update to the TestFlight/beta version it should work.

ASD FSC code saving failed?

Trying to figure out how badly I've fscked myself.

I used BimmerCode to disable the ASD earlier today, and I was prompted to save the FSC code to Google Drive. I thought that I had done so, but hours later I just noticed that Google Drive is showing that the FSC file is still "Waiting to upload."

I do see a 316 byte
Code:
FSC_...
file in my Google Drive that seemlingly got uploaded today, but I also see references on the interwebs saying that it should be 319 bytes.

Am I hosed? (I.e. will I be able to restore the ASD functionality if I were, for some odd reason, to want to?)

Isn't all the coding wiped after a software update from bmw? In that case you should be fine after the next update.
