Installed the Mishimoto oil cooler guard. Totally stripped the plastic out on two of the cheap plastic threaded holes. Those things are absolute butter so be careful when installing this. You can see I’m now missing the two middle rear screws.
lol, I’m missing the same two screws but feels pretty solid without them.

Put it on scales before and after springs to see how the balance is affected.

Spec is manual, bucket seats with base wheels. Car had full tank of gas.

Picture of car on scales is with stock suspension.
So with 1/3 a tank of gas I’m at 3700 lbs?

Nice job!!! I just looked at mine, and it's almost identical to yours... 9.77. These cars are fairly quick even when stock.

Thanks. I was wondering what's a good 60-130 stock time. I can probably squeeze another 0.1 sec or so because I was shifting manually instead of letting the car do the work. As my screen names says she runs OK... 😆

Add about 3 gallons of E85 and that'll help you get a bit quicker too. These cars will handle up to E20 on the stock ECU... It is definitely noticeable. My run was with about 3/4 tank of fuel in 3577' DA, but I did have some E85 in it. I've seen these times much quicker in better DA with a splash of E85, so it is possible to go faster than you've already been, stock. Have fun!!!

I've always been curious about doing that but couldn't find much info on if it was a good idea or how much to mix in on a stock tune.

Somewhere on bimmerpost, and in the manual, it says the ECU can adjust for up to E20 on stock hardware... most gas now already has E10 in it anyway. I have heard up to E25 the stock ECU will still adjust timing accordingly. Anything over that will make the car unhappy not tuned.

I like it, I also have one in my GTI. Holds the phone perfectly even over bumpy roads. Blocks the vent a little bit once the phones in there but not a big deal.

The oil cooler guard is such a slept on mod. Also great for any mishaps that may happen in the future. Cant believe that BMW will leave that area so open. Even a cheap plastic screen would have helped.

Same as sourced from IND but
, they offered 20% off (10% sale/10% 1st purchase) so I went with them.

I'm really surprised their Q.C. let them out the door like this. I bought these in the past for my '22 TB G82 but sold traded it with them (they were from IND and perfect). This is also a convertible so defects have nowhere to hide. I can see if this happened from Alibaba or something but surprised from a reputable vendor. Let's they see if they make it right and I'll take it from there. Figured they were the manufacturer. Just a heads up.
I bought a pair of these from ebay and they were junk quality. They didnt fit right and the finish was awful. I returned them and just said f it. I want to get another pair but I feel these all come from the same place but everyone is charging different prices so its tough where I should buy them from.

Yeah, it's hit or miss with ebay or Ali, but I figured at $450 list for the set you would bypass all of that nonsense, I guess not.

More & more folks I talk to seem to start agreeing on this same-source thing. This is my first (and maybe my last) direct experience with AutoTecknic.

IND and R44, however have been stellar so far. Great products and customer service from them.
