I like your poll.
One thing worth noting is that people who intend to purchase an M3 Touring (not available in all regions) or M4 Convertible should choose #3 as it is reportedly the only configuration that those models will be available in. |

I'm a basic b*tch so rwd + 6mt for me, if I do decide to go with a G80 as my next car.

If the 8sp RWD version weighs enough over the 6MT then maybe the 6MT. If not, the ZF.

I mentioned this before, the M2C I bought was supposed to be a stop gap between the F80 and G80. However, after having it for over a year, I can't imagine going for a bigger car now. If something were to happen to my car and I couldn't get a M2CS allocation or something, I would be looking at a "Pure" RWD 6-Speed model since I enjoy driving.

What about an option for the base model with the auto?

That configuration is not being offered. In the interest of simplicity, they are only offering a single RWD/AT model. And since the Competition model is generally the more popular one, they decided on that one. They could theoretically add a base model with the AT at some point, but don’t count on it.

With that said, don't know if I'll go MT RWD or Competition AWD

Poll results are disappointing. If this is the trend, looks like very soon they will eliminate RWD and Manual due to low sales.
IMO no new auto tech or switchable drive train can replace a pure RWD plus manual. |

It’s not a true MT + RWD vs AT + AWD poll though. Some are buying Touring and convertibles and have no choice of the MT + RWD. And you might have a considerable amount of the Touring fans who will not be able to buy it showing up in this poll scewing it heavily towards AT+AWD.

Me too brother, but 6MT will dictate my choice.
Worst car decision I ever made was get my CS and give up my 6MT. In my defense, I was 30k miles over my lease allotment and the F80 was out of production and I couldn’t find a 6MT. |

I predicted this from 6 miles away... most will want the fastest, most hardcore model irrelevant of enthusiast feelings... Bmw shot themselves in the foot w the split... and I am willing to bet this is why the Awd model comes out later.
