Mud flaps and rear winglets
Hi all, is there anyone who has got mud flaps and rear winglets at the same time? My first question is, are those side skirts/rear winglets functional or purely aesthetic? If functional, I was wondering if rear mud flaps would block air flow to the rear winglets? Anyone has installed both and got some pictures?
Thanks! |

Most of them are purely aesthetic for street driving so certainly you can add on if you want.
If you are always driving 100mph all the time then different story though. |

I got the winglets AND the AP rear mudflaps.
I like the fact it keeps them from getting sand blasted I wouldn't think the rear winglets would make a noticeable difference in aero to the point where it affects lap time. For aesthetics only. |

This is the zoom-in from the pic I had in my phone. I’ll try to find some once I get home.

This is the side profile. I only have the rears and didn’t go with the side skirts. The winglets didn’t flow well from front to rear IMO. |

Thanks for the picture!! Yea was actually considering just the winglets - from the back I like it and yea not a huge fan of the side skirts either. In person you like how this turned out with just the rears?

I initially thought about doing the rears only and then saw a pic posted by one of the forum sponsors that made me pull the trigger. I like it personally. If anything, it takes less than 10 minutes to switch them out back to OEM rears. |

Hmm, I would expect that this setup will generate bad airflow and noise at higher speed. Anyway, I do not understand why people want to put mudflaps on such a car. I only know them from semi trucks.

I would rather have these flaps than getting my paint sandblasted. This is what it looks like with only 7K miles, driving during nice summer months only. |

You wanna protect you paint, may as well bubble wrap the entire car or better dont drive it at all.
