Does anyone know what I need to do?
My 22 G80 M3 has ID7. I coded custom colors some time ago. My car updated itself and my custom ambient colors reverted back to stock. Do I plug bimmercode in and restore? Or does bimmercode start fresh since my car updated itself? I havent plugged bimmercode back in yet and I want to make sure I dont mess anything up. Thanks!

I would email info@bimmercode.app, however from what I remember backups are meant to restore if something has gone wrong, not if it's been reflashed. In the past with my previous BMWs just re-coded just in case. That way, if there is a feature that has changed, I can see for myself that it has changed and that the procedure needs to be adjusted for those changes.

That's a good question.
Mine updated as well. I just went back and recoded everything. The update reset all my settings including anti dazzle, turn signals and ASD

I had forgot how that all worked...lol. When I coded my colors back last night, I noticed that bimmercode listed colors for me to choose now. When I had last coded my M3, I believe I did it the same way OP shared in expert mode. I dont remember seeing color choices pre made for you to choose from.

Hi! Having an F90 which has a top and bottom light on the doors. How would I change these separately? Say I want the top to be a cyan and the bottom to be red and then have cyan footwell. How would one do this?

Ivory is the new Bronze. I chose my colors as normal. Instead of choosing bronze on the car (which doesn't exist), I choose ivory (the first option, as show in the quoted post, which is what seems to exist INSTEAD of bronze). This worked for me. PS, 2023 iDrive8 M3. I didn't use expert mode and therefore did not follow the instructions OP laid out. It was very easy, other than figuring out I wasn't coding bronze; I was coding ivory. |

New to this, so I apologize if this was already asked and answered, but does anyone know the bytes for the "pearl" color? Would like to have that one coded to lilac instead.
Thank you! |

Is there a way to increase brightness of the door ambient light during daytime? Or is that limitation of the lights? Is there a way to have the ambient light change based on OBD data? For example, blink the ambient lights red for rear cross traffic alert, or in risk of collision, or blink green when car has done lane assist Right now, the ambient light only blink red when the door is open or when incoming call, or blink bronze when car is locked/unlocked. So the blinking functionality must be there |

MMnut, is your upper driver's side ambient lighting iD8's Azure or iD7's Blue?
I'm asking because you obviously have aftermarket center console lighting that's carrying the Azure or Blue color. I have an iD8 car with ambient lighting set to Azure and have considered buying one of the aftermarket center console modules. But I've been concerned that the aftermarket modules won't display Azure.

What is the difference between Azure and Blue ? Azure is lighter ? If you know the color code then I can try to change it to see if the module changed to that color using bimmercode. |
