'23 build delays CONFIRMED

Just received a notice from CA @ BMW Vegas

"BMW informed me that they will be releasing the 2023 order guide this june/july due to shortage of carbon fiber is why its pushed back a little longer."

any thoughts?

I always take a Salesperson's word with a grain of salt LOL. It is not confirmed unless it comes from BMW corporate.

Just like how carbon roofs would not be included a few months back LOL

I would wait until i see an official communication.

We have heard a lot of these comments from CAs in the past and we know how reliable their info can be.

IF this is true, maybe MY22 will be built for a longer period of time? I think the build guides usually arrive around May for July build weeks.

Might just mean a halt on cars being built no matter the MY designation since I don't expect a ton more CF use on the new MY.

I frequent the Alfa forums and apparently the Quads are all being delivered with steel roofs now due to resource constraints. So there actually could be some legs to this one

Yeah same here. That’s from BMW Vegas. The Henderson dealership wanted to charge $10k ADM. I know guys are still getting them at MSRP but honestly I was ok with 5k. It’s still not 10k+ like some other places.

I've tried for years to buy from vegas or henderson but being an autonation dealer makes it difficult to strike a deal. Went to a phoenix area dealer, got a G80 at MSRP and only waited a month for allocation. Taking PCD and stuck at VPC in south carolina at the moment. Hard for me to justify markup plus all the interest at 2.49-2.99. Rather get a deal and spend $ on mods lol

This is only going to make sense if they also delay the G20 LCI I would assume. The M3 order guide might change based on what happens to the underlying platform. I would assume that you can't reconfigure the tooling and then build cars to the previous config.

I hope it is not true bc I will be without a car for even longer once I arrive to Vegas end of June for my new work contract.

Also I hope they're not pulling my leg letting other customers get their allocation before me. Initially I was told to put the $3500 down to secure my place at #1 but who knows if that was even the case and just trying to get as many orders as possible
