South Jersey as well lol down here is mopar land but also the biggest annoyance with my M2 is all the d-bags in other BMWs trying to prove themselves to me? or whatever compels them to act out around me. Whatever it is, it's very annoying. I got none of this when I had my Cayman, even though, on the street, that car was extremely slow, by comparison.

I'm curious as to how these type of guys will react to the G80 when it arrives next month.

Echoing the other PNW posters: BMW's, Mercs, and Audi's are seriously not the problem over here. I see someone in quick German cars being asshats here and there, but it's mostly older models. The tinted Altima comment is spot the hell on in the Portland area, too.

We had a LOT of errands to run this weekend and spent several hours floating all over the city and the two primary asshat cars we saw during our travels was a frickin' KIA Soul going about 90 on HWY 26 (tail gaiting, bouncing between lanes, etc...) and handful of Crosstreks who clearly thought they were the only cars on the road. While the Kia was trying to kill everyone, I was in the right lane at a reasonable speed with plenty of room behind a Hellcat that was also just enjoying a calm drive.

I live in the Milwaukee area. There is an epidemic of outrageously dangerous and reckless driving especially in the inner city. Our police force is down to 55% of what it was five years ago thanks to the defund the police morons. There aren’t nearly enough police out there to handle the situation and they are losing more and more each day. I can’t blame them , who would want their job? Law and order is disappearing across the US and it’s getting exponentially worse. Car theft is a huge problem here as well, approaching nearly 6,000 stolen cars in the county at this point of the year. Ironically, it’s the folks in the inner city that suffer the most as a result of the “social justice” movement.

I don't think BMW drivers in particular but more so drivers with any type of modded car in my experience.

I drove in many countries, and I can tell you that there are plenty of bad drivers just about everywhere. Most Europeans adhere to traffic laws, but even they are starting to getting stupid when it comes to driving on highways. I've been driving now for little under 30 years, and what I noticed is that people are now less patient. I'm not sure if it's due to more vehicles on the road, or they are slowly evolving into zombies from the movie "28 Day Later"

I think they're targeting becoming "Shawn of The Dead" zombies, actually.

Slammed Civic or Accord with redicolous negative camber and an exhaust big as a drain pipe dragging on the street…I see them around but they thankfully don’t seem interested at all in my non modded M3.

No way! By far, by a wide margin, Tesla owners are the most annoying drivers ever existed.

Its not BMW drivers specifically. When I had my c63 everyone and their mom wanted to “race” me. I think they see a fast car and want to experience the thrill. This is my scientific hypothesis, and will do further testing once my m3 comes and will present a final conclusion. 😂

Too heavy? Keep your eyes open, the crime wave will be coming to a neighborhood near you soon if things continue the way they are now. Absolutely NOTHING political about that statement, it is reality.
We have little to no traffic law enforcement where I live now and it is like the wild west on the roads. It is insane here, aggressive driving is off the charts. I've been driving for 50 years and have never seen anything like this. From what I hear it is as bad or worse most places.

Thank you - didn’t think I was being “political “, just realistic. The thread was about reckless driving. The idea that it would be unique to bmw drivers is a bit odd and cliche. My opinion on that is that it’s not unique to bmw drivers. More so to the group mentioned before , the nissans with the tinted windows. It’s fair to say the response is heavy I guess, I do realize people come on here to talk cars and not be bummed out.

Oh geez i hope the BMW community isn't like that. Like when i get my M3, am i really going to be looked down on from guys in M5's or M8's? Because i have an inferior model? At least in terms of power and price.

It's kinda like that in the corvette community. When i had my C6 years and years ago, as the C7 was just brought out, i had so many C7 owners just roll their eyes at me. Literally. Like i had my window open and i'm smiling cause i wanna give the thumbs up but before i even got to do that, i see the owner glance over, then like roll their eyes and accelerate away.

It's kinda like that with the C8. I'm in my C7 z06 that will absolutely crush any C8 out there but i just wanna show some love by giving the thumbs up. And i see C8 owners literally look over to me, then just roll their eyes and take off. What's with the rolling of the eyes for?? lol

People are so insecure it's not even funny.

Wisconsin had 508 sworn state troopers in 2000, and 486 at the end of 2020. Milwaukee is down about 140 officers 2000 through now. Even with rising population, you are not down 55%. The downturn in academy graduates has been an issue, apparently, since the mid-2000's.

Your post was political you used false statistics (that were easily disproven with data directly from the WI State Troopers and the Milwaukee PD) in an attempt to blame a loose (and badly named) political movement for a problem that has existed since long before said political movement existed.

I haven't been to Wisconsin since the late 90's...have they stopped wasting all their resources on speed traps at the 90/94 interchange outside of Madison? Last time I drove through there, I saw 20+ Trooper vehicles hanging out just waiting for someone to go 56 MPH...

Can we go back to talking about cars now?

We are currently 191 officers under what is considered to be fully staffed. There are 330 more officers retiring or quitting by the end of the year. There is a budget cut passed last year that is reducing the number by an additional 120 officers. When we are fully staffed we have 1800 officers. So for all intents and purposes, the decline is more like 35%. I was referencing a recent local news story that interviewed the police association president who mentioned the 55% figure. Perhaps he was estimating future projections when you factor in the serious decline in recruiting. As for speed traps and cameras, I’m all for them. I can assure you no one going 56 is being pulled over. No one is being pulled over period, the cops have all but given up. Getting back to the point , bmw drivers are not the problem here. Lawless criminals who have no regard for safety or common decency and those who undermine the ones trying to stop them are the problem.
