Midpipe installed and now getting vibrations on the interior?

Hey guys! I just had the mad single resonated midpipe installed, and I'm realizing that at certain rpm/load the harmonics of the car vibrate the seat and interior. Is this normal? The car is completely stock other than the mad midpipe. I am wondering if maybe the midpipe is touching the car somewhere underneath?

Thanks

check if its mechanical vibrations or speakers rattling. Same happened to me. I turned off ASD and it fixed my problem. My passenger side speakers were rattling

The mid pipe could be rubbing on the crossover brace. This can cause vibrations. Only way to tell is to get under the car. You need at least 1/4”
Clearance of the pipes from touching anything that is attached to the body.

90% chance it's sitting on the brace . Loosen it all up raise it so it sits higher than you want it and it will sag right down the middle.

Also double check none of the bolts for the clamps are touching the heat shields. twist them if need be.

I figured... I'll get it back on the lift tomorrow and update y'all. Thanks for the recommendations.

I notice this too at around 3000-3500 rpm and mainly in sport plus mode. ASD off and no part of exhaust touching anything. I have the single non resonated bay optics mid pipe. So far no solutions.

Ive noticed some noises in my car as well after my midpipe install. I checked everything under the car and nothing is touching and the ASD is coded off.

It isn’t touching anywhere unless it moves while driving.

It vibrates when the car is on, so even though it's not touching now, it will touch at a certain RPM if it does not have enough clearance.

From what you are explaining, you should turn off ASD, and if the problem persists, recheck clearance. I cannot think of any other reason

ASD has been coded already! I guess I will have the shop adjust it higher, but it looks like it has plenty of room.

Is the car on a lift? Check the clamp bolts and if the pipe is touching the heat shield anywhere.

Could remove that brace temporarily and see if it rattles still? That would at least eliminate that to help you narrow it down.

I don’t think it’s touching the brace it just seems like it’s the engine harmonics at certain rpm’s. It doesn’t do it with the valves closed.

Just had it on the lift. It isn’t touching anywhere, I guess it just is how it is.

Learning to live with it lol. Makes me appreciate having valves closed at times for a more luxury ride.

It's going to happen just off resonance from louder exhausts or stiffer suspension. Start by pinpointing culprits and use Tessa (felt tape) to take care of it.
