If you programme the module to control the exhaust flap to be FULLY opened and FULLY shut - can you use the OEM exhaust button instead of the speed limiter?

I just want the ability to either be fully open and fully shut when I need to be via using the OEM button.

Valve activation is performed either via the user-set profile throughout the RPM range or within the software or by pressing the ASD button on the center console.

So essentially once the module is installed, you can use the OEM exhaust button to fully open and fully close the flaps and long as it’s programmed within the awron software?

On the awron site it says to open the valves you have to use the speed limiter switch. Doesn’t say anything about the usability of the OEM exhaust button.

Tom & the team at EAS install these. If he’s saying you can use the ASD button, you can use the ASD button.

Correct, you can use the preset profile or set your own valve open/close operations throughout the RPM Range. There are also failsafes built in the programming to prevent engine damage.

The feature you're referring to is handled by pressing/holding down on M1/M2 buttons as a "Panic" mode in which the valves will close at an instant - confirmed by the TRIGGER message on the instrument cluster display. This feature is typically reserved for speed cameras/speed traps (Gatsos) - typically much more serious issue overseas than here in the US. But good to know it remains on the module feature list.

Yeah there’s no harm in trying to clarify the situation.

Okay cool!

So without the awron, does the g80 factory valve function work similar to previous generations (f8x)? As in only opens past a certain RPM or unless in sports modes.

So with the awron I will essentially be able to hit the exhaust button and have valves fully open even in comfort mode?

Sorry with all the questions!
