I flashed mine a few months ago. Currently showing (V1.4).

What is the update? If 1.4 is not it, how do I get it?

V1.5 is the newest update. If you go into XHP and select to flash you see the new version as an option to flash. If you do that please share the update notes here.

Cheers!

1.5 has been out since November last year, I've had it flashed on my car for a while and it's much smoother than 1.4. They've reworked a lot of things. I'll update this post with patch notes shortly

EDIT: Here you go

* XHP Stage 2
* Activate line pressure bump - On
* Reassign Shift-Speeds - Medium, Medium, Fast
* Use stock Shift-Maps
Any particular reason you are using the stock shift maps?

I watched a video on YouTube from a guy that claims he broke his transmission 14 days after getting the car. He thinks it's because he was running the car in XHP Drag mode and it was too aggressive. I'll link the video below. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the xhp dragmode is the main cause, or more likely a multitude of unknown factors?

For the bootmod3 tuned xdrive cars on here have the issues some have experienced with the stage 3 shifts pulling power been worked out? (Sorry I stopped reading at about page 20 or so of this thread).

I was planning on picking this up after downpipes and bootmod3 but after seeing the video and reading the reviews I'm kind of hesitant.

Drag mode causes 4x wear to the clutches. The warning in xhp is attached.

Have people ran into issues with stage 3? I feel like the upshifts are extremely aggressive and don’t sit right with my gut. I flashed stage 2 which seems more forgiving on the trans.

People seem to not care and still run it all the time whether it be high pedal or not. If your doing pulls every time you take the car out, it will be activated.
They even dial the tunes in with it turned on and they claim to be fine.

Im the hesitant type, I have already 200+ runs (digs & 40-130) with my car tuned in the span of only 2k miles.
If drag mode was turned on the entire time i'm not so confident my car would still be on the stock transmission.

Given that all of the safety features are turned off in drag mode, I would use it sparingly. Otherwise, I'd start looking into a built trans.

So it sounds like stage 3 is ok and adds to performance if your tuner can work with it, otherwise it's not really going to be faster.

And drag mode is basically a time bomb for the transmission.

I do a lot of drag racing on prepped surface and road course but I don't think a tenth or so is worth prematurely destroying my transmission.

I don't think that is the case. xHP stage 3 WILL be faster as long as you communicate with the tuner on what xHP settings is optimal to use for their tune. Even then, I still think xHP will add a few tenths to 0-60, etc. since the gear changes will be faster.

The Pirellis are trash , pure garbage.
IDKBRO, you should have told Ferrari that Pirellis were "trash" before they made the Daytona SP3. You could have drove your little M3 over and showed them! You could have also drove down the road and told Pagani while you were in the area.

You know absolutely f all about tires dude. Its embarrassing.

The pirellis on my car are G-A-R-B-A-G-E.
Whether they are nice on a Ferrari or Pagani is besides the point you’re trying to make.

Every car I’ve ever owned with P’s have been inferior to the experience I’ve had with Michelins.

And I know this from experience on the track and my daily drives in the canyons where I can feel the tires are just giving out in areas where Michelins MP4S would’ve gripped.
Even with the recent rains , I felt zero confidence when with MP4S I had no such issues.
This is strictly about those 2 models only , never said anything about SP3.

I know the most thrilling part of your daily drives up there in Canada are to go get the groceries or perhaps a quick drive to Hortons lol but I actually thoroughly enjoy mine to its fullest potential so you wouldn’t get it.

Old man are they paying you a salary for the public defense or what ?
Instead of jerking off on YouTube and meaningless articles about subjects like this , just slap on a pair of michy’s next and you’ll understand right away.

Pirelli’s are junk, they came on my Ferrari too and I hate them They were swapped for Michelins moments after delivery

Ferrari (an Italian brand) choosing Pirelli (an Italian brand) as their main tire supplier when there's better options available is shocking, shocking I tell you.

lol! Nah bro, the Pirellis are great for basic street driving and decent handling but the MP4S are superior. This is proven in every metric.

15k miles with stage 3 1.4 and my car hasn’t missed a beat

Just switched to 1.5 and I’m kicking myself I didn’t sooner

Dramatically more refined in d1 car actually feels really nice in that setting now.

Partial throttle midrange shifts in s3 are now smoother and more predictable with the same amounts of charter and drama.

Still my top 3 mod I’ve done for this puppy

Does this run well on stock DME? What stage are people running with the OEM tune?
