I asked as I might be doing the same thing to pick up a CT4-V 6MT Blackwing. My M4 was a week 11, it was days from starting when the war related stoppages hit. I am now week 20. Who knows what happens between now and then - more wars, earthquakes, new strains, feature deletions, etc. I am not waiting another 6 months for a new car, and this Blackwing is built and damn near exactly as I would order it. My fear is I might love it so much I will forget the M4, but if I can have (2) 4s in the garage it would be epic! My drive is 800 miles should I do it.

i actually have a ct4v blackwing on order and my g80 on order. i am still waiting for an allocation on the blackwing and i placed that order in november 🤦🏽*♂️. to me the m4 would be worth waiting for, the blackwing just isn't as luxurious feeling which is why i ordered my g80. plus the blackwing is slower. i'm scheduled for week 14 so i am planning to cancel the blackwing order as soon as i hit 150 status.

No doubt the 6MT Blackwing will be a full second slower than my M4 Comp xD. But it is going to be much more fun to drive, this I know. I definitely prefer the BMW interior, but in fairness, the Blacking I am buying is 70k and my M4 is 94k. I expect the Blackwing to be much more a "driver's car" and the M4 more luxurious, as you say. I have a role for both

Hope to pull it off. The other concern for me is having 0 idea when the M4 might show up. If no further delays happen, maybe another 3-5 months? But there is no way to know, and there could be feature reductions coming. One thing for sure, when the BMW arrives, I want it as I built it. If that means a longer wait, at least the Caddy will keep me occupied.

I am definitely leaning on it, thinkings 12mm spacers all around and just not sure which lowering kit though. I want something with a good ride height, but also don't want it to be too harsh of a ride.

The dampers are really good on these cars, a fixed spring might fly like AST--- but Ive really like the MSS on my car; the double rear spring really helps in the comfort and control of the axle.

I think the ride height on the G82 is way too high, so I am leaning on it, and I love the look of yours, I just have never lowered a car before. Just have to research a bit.

Well FWIW- Ive lowered all 12 of M's and as far back as my memory will serve; the G80 has responded the best with its damper, chassis, and steering connection.

It has the famous BMW 1 bump down and up compression which I have always loved. I did not get the same results from my F82 and it was via KW HAS believe it or not.

Just looking at that pic, and out the window at mine, it's way too high. I think my F82 was a little lower. Pretty sure it's next (with the spacers), thanks.
