At the port....
Since April 15th, called yesterday and they said hasnt gotten scanned yet. Carrier already left so I was told mid to late May is when it would be on a carrier and I could find out then which one, because it has to wait for the carrier's that are out to come back? Ugh the wait is killing me! haha When I saw it running through all the steps on bmwusa and then said at the port I was looking every day, but now Ill just be waiting....Im def impatient lol
Also since I live in Northern VA, car is getting delivered to dealership in Mississippi, is it a bad idea to fly down and drive it back? I just feel however long it takes to get to the dealership and then ship up here is going to drive me crazy. But wanted some insight if that was a bad idea to drive it that many miles home on its first drive. Thanks! |

Hey jdub000 Congrats on your new ride.
If you search the forum, you will see that people have flown to pick up the car and drove it home--perfect way to get those 1200 break-in miles. :-) Apart from that, some people would either arrange to have the car PPF install done locally before driving it home or some have brought track wrap to protect areas of the car. If you aren't planning either, simply enjoy the drive home! |

Thanks Pool Shark!! Appreciate the message, sounds good and thats what I was thinking about with breaking in that 1200 miles. I will check into PPF there was going to do it here but might be something to think about ahead of time.
