m3 “Dakar edition”?

In the spirit of the Porsche 911 Dakar edition and the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, what options are out there to make an m3 “off road” edition.

I would never consider bringing m3 off road but the central massachusetts backroads get closer and closer to “light” off roading. Would be nice to be able to maintain the feeling of tight sporty handling but not be punished so much with the ruts and frost heaves in the road.

What options exist today to get there today with Suspension?

I recall someone taking a Z4 M coupe and converting it to Baha style… found pics

Yeah, something like that, ideal would be something that you could go back to stock pretty easily. Also need to research what’s out there for tires.

Swap to an 18” wheel. The extra thickness of the tire will smooth things out over bumps. Just make sure they clear the brakes.
