I think they just draw straws to see who’s car goes first.

My car is going to the west coast, it looks like there’s a handful of ships arriving over the next couple weeks so I’m hoping I’ll be on one of them.

My app is finally saying my car is on it's way. There was a RORO vessel that left Bremerhaven on the 12th that is heading to NZ due to arrive early March, I hope it was on that.

I hope you all fare better in the logistics lottery.

Supposed to be a few ships heading to the west coast soon but according to the site mine hasn’t been assigned to any of them yet. Still just sitting at the port.

Mine is sitting at port now too. I emailed BMW to ask if they knew what ship but it hasn’t been assigned yet. They said to check back on 1/29/24….so guess they anticipate it may be a while.

I know there’s a ship arriving for the West Coast on 1/26 so that timeline makes sense. Though I keep checking on the site for my car to see if it’s changed to status 194 but stuck at 193.

I checked the schedule and there are two other possible scheduled sailings my car could be on if it is to meet the agreed delivery date I have with the dealer, departing on Feb 3 and Feb 15 respectively. I do not get a similar service that North Americans enjoy where you can get the detailed delivery status of your vehicle, I can only request such information through the dealer and that takes time for them to respond. So I have to pretty much guess based on what little information I have.

Thanks for the update. I've been following your progress. Mine was built on 01/15, at port since 01/17 and just moved to in transit as I checked this morning. Might be on the same ship? I ordered at a bay area dealership.

Per BMW genus, mine was placed on the vessel "Brooklands" on 1/28/24 with estimated voyage duration of 14 days. Expected to arrive at port on 2/11/24.
