Hey All,

In my somewhat frantic search to find replacement winter tires for my stock 825M wheels for my 2021 M3 Comp (RWD), I found a site that sells used tires, but has new tires as well. I’ve been running the Pirelli Sottozero 2s’ and they have been great the last couple winters. I found them again on this site, and I was able to get a set of two, brand new tires, for…..$207. Yes, two brand new 285/30R20 Pirelli WINTER 270 SOTTOZERO II ALP XL tires for $207.

I looked into this place….great online reviews, better that 4.5 BBB rating and at least to me here in Southern New Hampshire, shipping is free via FedEx ground. They also come with a 1 year warranty.

I would share a link, but I don’t know if that’s allowed….if anyone can chime in if it is, I’ll share the link. Otherwise, if not, feel free to PM me.

As of this writing, this place had 30 sets of 2 tires. They don’t have the 275/35R19 front, so I’m still looking for those, but this deal is nuts. I could be 6 of these tires for the price less than just getting two through my local dealer.

Well they are for real and I can’t believe it. If you need 285/30R29 winter tires for the back of your M3 comp, this site and deal are real! Friggen awesome!

$207 for these two brand new tires LMAO

I’m just gonna post the link, if I need to take it down (to any admins that see this) just let me know or do it…I’m getting lots of PMs which I’m super happy about as we should all be so crazy to pass on a deal like this:

https://www.utires.com/p/set-of-2-ne...10-32-1610675/

To answer the questions I get the most:

Yes, I’ve ordered them myself and do so this past Wednesday (I believe) it was mid week anyways….and I got them today. That was the pic I posted. I live in NH. I got emails from this company every step of the way, including FedEx tracking info.

This might be one of the craziest deals I’ve ever come across, certainly for tires

Also to save you guys some time in research. These guys have a BBB rating at almost 5 stars. They apparently usually deal in used tires, but buy bulk new as well. Why they sell at this price I don’t know, but that’s what they told me when I called and chatted online with them. 🤷‍♂️

F-it. I needed rear winters and I’m bout’ it. No complaints lol

Great deal! I’d come across that site as well, and only reason I did not purchase was due to the statement on the product specs “It is possible that a tire has been professionally repaired with a stem patch according to RMA guidelines.” Have you checked the tires to see if they’ve been repaired, or are they in fact brand spanking new?

I did and they are brand spankin’ new. I looked at some of their used tires as well, and forgot which one it was, but it had a patch but they showed a pic of the patchwork..but again, the tire I received are nothing but brand new!

Oh trust me you are not alone lol. It sucks but it’s also what most of us have typically paid for any g80 tire. At this price it might be worth it for some of us to grab a pair of these for spares/backups etc

This shop is local to me and are legit. I’ve purchased multiple sets of tires with them in the past and will be picking up this set. The owners are bmw fans. There is always some sort of M car in the lot. Thanks for the link!

I’m going to stop by their shop tomorrow to see if they have any deals on 275/35r19.

Makes me feel even happier then knowing this. When I asked them about fronts, admittedly only over thier chat online, they had sottozero 3 in that size but only one of them.

For sure if you learn they have these sottozero 2s new r will be soon, please share!

Same (local to me) I have bought used and new tires before for a previous car I owned and they were pretty reasonable.

I was able to get the rears tires at the discounted price.

Unfortunately, they only have one sottozero ii tire available in the 275/35r19. I checked TireRack and they also only have one tire available. They must use the same supplier.

I’m now searching for the fronts. Has anyone found a matching set for the fronts? What do you all think about different brands between the front and rear? Realistically, the car won’t see much milage through the winter.

I was able to get them from my dealership. They are designated "MO" for Mercedes and are visibility wider than the 285/30/20's marked "Alpina" (from United Tire). Any one know if this is okay for xDrive as long as they are the proper sizes (missing the different OE designations)?

I ate the cost of getting through the local dealer. I couldn’t find them anywhere cheaper, and that’s when I could actually find. I don’t know the deal this year, but typically there is at least three options available for winter tires on our G80s, but not this year.

As someone mentioned to me recently, even paying normal prices for the two fronts, we come out way head after spending only $207 on this crazy deal for the rear pair.

Have you owned yours for a winter before? If so, do you drive it through the winter? I'm still debating getting a winter car but I figured I'd put winter tires on it regardless since it's getting a bit cold for the summer tires here.

This’ll be my third winter with it. I ordered my 2021 M3C-RWD, not long after the car was made available. I ran Sottozero 3s for the last two winters but with this deal and needing rear tires, I’m giving these a go.

Never had a problem so long as I don’t try to go out and plow the roads.

Were your front tires designated "MO" for mercedes? Seems thats the only 275/35/19 variant. Even BMW offers these. Not sure if you received the rears yet, but they are designated "ALP". Let me know if you fronts look wider - likely due to stiffer sidewalls?

Thanks!

I’ll have to check my rears to see what they say, but they are labeled as ALP on the site I linked above for this deal so I’m sure they are. See pic.

So far as the fronts, see my second pic. That’s what I paid and the info and yes, it says MO, but I bought them through the dealer and they told me they will only sell tires for BMWs that BMW has certified. Apparently because they need to be able to offer a warranty if something happens. So while they say MO like you mentioned, I trust BMW. Otherwise they can replace my M3C if something happens 😂👍
