Are you SURE…? I mean the M5 CS is a beast and the 3 will be, too - but….

Will the US DOT allow the yellow lights or do we get a standard version? (Or do they change when driving)

I’m sure there will be some available if you willing to pay crazy markup.

$10k mark up is reasonable, but wouldn’t pay more than that as car market are down and interest rates are high, just wishful thinking

I have an offer for 5k over on an M3 CS. I already secured one with my ideal specs locked in so I don't want this one. This one is frozen white with black wheels with non-cup 2s / black steel calipers. PM me if you are interested and I will pass along sales information.

Nothing in it for me just trying to help someone looking for one!

Need to give credit to available port installed add-ons:
1. CSL steering wheel (~$2k),
2. CSL strut brace (~$1k),
3. Mperf lip (~$2.5k),
4. Give some credit to the titanium exhaust. Who knows if its the full bolt-on Mperf kit or just can and tips, but some assumption is reasonable...(~$3k?).
Unknowns:
1. Being a MY2024 we don't know if the base price will rise for other G80 variants, seems possible.
2. Suspension mystery. Hardware upgrades? Mperf HAS?

I think the value is there. Excited to say the least.
It’s not just CS specific bolt ons and special parts that add value and performance . Factory test driver time, M engineers, tracktime, software and unique coding of driving dynamics need to be established and loaded into car. All this comes at a cost to BMW. They don’t do it for free.

Interesting. If I had an empty garage spot I would have considered slapping a Signal Green M3 CS right next to the M5 CS but I wouldn’t replace it. What’s your motivator? Something a bit smaller and sportier?

Yeah, I just prefer the M3 to be fair. I actually love the look of it and I have no need for a big 5 series

Im not so sure about people clamoring and paying huge ADM for the CS. I remember reading pre release articles about the 2018 M3 CS hyping the limited edition car with only 550 units coming to the U.S. Often ending with “get one while you can…. If they are not gone already”. There were plenty left sitting on dealer lots to be had a discount. I found mine in December of 18 at Las Vegas BMW and had two to choose from and paid 10k under sticker.

We agree. I’ve added more real context in response to a few comments/opinions challenging whether or not the pricing for the CS is favorable. By highlighting the knowns of add-ons that a spec order can do today, the pricing is more than reasonable (from my POV). When you get all of that aligned, the engineering work touches become a value for buyers as it’s not adding much to MSRP.

Yea pricing was beat to death with the 2018 F80 CS. The classic was why would I pay that much over a base M3 when I could just by the CS carbon bits and throw a tune on it. Ummm ok. Good luck with that.

Does anyone know the different in the two interior options X3 and X3AT? I'm assuming the press cars have the X3AT with the two tone black/red perforated centers. Has anyone successfully confirmed the X3 interior? Also do we know it's all black, or all red or something else?

Trying to harness the power of the interwebs to get the data the dealer can't give me

I asked the same question and the general consensus is that it is a formatting error on the order guide. There seems to be no options for the interior.

Got it. Thanks for the reply. I'm guess the Leather Steering wheel mentioned is probably a EU only option. Because it doens't come up on the ordering guide.

That's what I was thinking too. I haven't seen any other mention of that so may be country specific.

I don't see 5AP on the list. I think that has been on other cars with matrix headlights in the USA (coding to remove matrix functions from our headlights). Any chance we get full matrix lighting because it's a 2024 and is now legal in the USA? One can always hope...

Germany has the following options: M leather steering wheel (with this one, you can also order a heating system for the steering wheel), Parking Assist, Driving Assist, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, acoustic glass (sound insulation...not sure why someone would order this on a M3 CS???), automatic trunk lid, M Shadow Line headlights (deletes yellow "icon" daylight running lights), tinted glass, personal eSIM (so you can basically use the car's phone hardware with your own eSIM), tire repair set, M precision engine strut, M compound brakes in black, CCB brake in red or gold, model designation delete.

I had my 2nd dealer for the CS just contact me. They got an email just 10 mins ago and he needed my choices (paint, wheels) asap, so I gave him my options. This was a dealer I wanted since the markup was much smaller. Just wanted to post it for info.
