829M rear rim size
If I recall correctly, when you purchase the 829M style winter tire/rim package, the front rim size is 19 X 9 and the rear size is 19 X 9.5. However, the tire size is the same for all rims - 275/35 R19. Any idea why they’d make the rear rim a little thicker/wider?

Probably because the 9" rim will look sunken in too much compared to the 9.5" one.

Yup, you could add a spacer though.

As far as I read so far the size difference to the regular tyre options (9,5 front and 10,5 rear) is that the 829M are intended to be used in winter. As some countries like Austria and Switzerland (those are the ones I know of, sure there are also more) have strict regulations. In winter it's mandatory on some streets to put on snow chains. This option is given with this size while with the regular 10,5 this could cause problems and/or damages.
