IND | Eventuri G8X M3 / M4 Carbon Intake System Released

PERFORMANCE GAIN: 13-18HP, 12-16FT/LBS (STOCK TUNE)
Eventuri has pulled the curtain back on their latest masterpiece—their G8X M3 / M4 black carbon intake system. More than its undisputed visual appeal, this new intake promises 13-18HP as a standalone add-on, but also promises to stand up to 1000+hp power hungry builds in the future. This future proofing effort takes an engineering prowess that only Eventuri has been able to deliver. It's a real testament to how much specific attention has been paid to completely re-design the OE intake to achieve their lofty goals.

By cleverly maximizing the available usage space in the G8X's engine bay, the Eventuri intake boasts a 40% increase in filtration area over stock as well as a whopping 160% improvement in inlet volume.

A NEW BENCHMARK
To set themselves even further apart from the competition, Eventuri has created an advanced dimpled inner surface within each turbo inlet. This unique design detail reduces frictional losses between the actual air flow and the wall of the inlet by creating a cushion of air between them. This space allows air to move through the inlet at higher flow rates, thereby delivering more air to the turbos with less effort.

This design, coupled with the aforementioned 160% increase in inlet volume, are huge contributing factors to why the Eventuri intake has shown a healthy increase in performance—and why it will continue to do so as the car is tuned.

PROVEN PERFORMANCE
This isn't the first time we've mentioned performance in this newsletter, but this continues to be an Eventuri trait that has not been repeatable from other competitors. The independent dyno results confirm a consistent power gain throughout the RPM range, while also delivering improved throttle response in real-world usage.

Looking forward to mine.

Will you guys or Evolve have an install video up soon? Would love to have a video to follow along with for install as this one looks pretty involved.

While the installation is straight forward; it does present some challenges. You'll need a socket flex joint to access the bolts that secure the turbo inlets.

Eventuri's installation guide was also just made available and does a good job highlighting what you'll need to do.

Mine arrived this evening. Install scheduled for early next week alongside my Remus exhaust.

The quality of this intake is amazing. Definitely some carbon fiber porn material.

Will try and do some video. I'm a better still photographer than a videographer. And even then not all that talented in photography.

Be careful with that cross pipe. Get a microfiber towel between it and the radiator during install.

I decided to prep for the install as my eventuri intakes are arriving later today.

If you are attempting to do this your self make sure you have plenty of time and don't rush.

Here are some helpful tips
Plug all the holes below with microfiber towels so you don't drop any tools or screws/bolts.
To get to the turbo inlets and to remove them is a pain in the ass.
The turbo inlet for the driver side intake is especially hard to get to. See pictures below, I had to remove the entire assembly and a total of 5 screws and some sensor plugs. You can use a 6mm (7mm or 1/4 inch can work too) socket. I don't have special tools.

See some pictures below and good luck

Took about an hour to install and I wasn't rushing

As expected putting back the right side turbo inlet tube was really a pain and specialty tools would be helpful. Still managed to drop one bolt onto the pan but the eventuri kit came with 3 extra (a bit different head but it works).
The left eventuri filter is a bit harder to put in and if you can get someone to help you so you don't scratch up the carbon that would be great, as you have to lift the coolant tank up and a bit out of the way in order to fit the filter in. There is almost no wiggle room on this side.
Again good luck if you're doing it yourself.
It's not complicated just hard to get to
This is what it looks like installed
Going to try it out

I might be in the same boat! I was just at AutoCouture and seeing it in person changed my view of it. It's meticulously crafted and has extremely clear thought going into it. I can't justify spending $3k on it now but am actually considering it vs before.

That was my initial thought too. But I plan on keeping this car long term so I figured I mine as well buy the best of what I can for it. After the $4500 exhaust and Hre wheels whats another $3k for carbon intakes hahaha lol

Atta boy. That’s the correct thinking!
I said the same thing when I got my Eventuri intake for my F80

I got the dyno results. The car got MHtronik from Manhart and now additionaly Eventuri intake.

However:
1. It was warmer today
2. I put additionaly octane booster (for the scond time and the car doesn't work well at high rpm - it cuts).

Still:
1. In low range noticably more torque
2. The overboost comes little bit earlier
3. After 6k there is small pump in torque and hp

I will test the car without octane booster on the street and will see what time will get. I will try to simulate the same conditions as my best run (10.73 1/4 mile) without Eventuri.
