Anyone have aG83 and looked at the FitCamX?

Or any other dashcam?

I like that the FitCamX as it doesn't stand out as something additional stuck on my windshield and available to pull off.

Also, what did you do for rear camera? Mount it up front? I don't like that as I don't want the camera on me.

Or do I look to add drive recorder? Was not optioned, but it has the Parking Assistance Plus package.

Drive recorder is not very good since you cannot get full screen videos of either front or rear cam. Also, the quality is pretty bad and runs at a low fps.

I just installed a fitcamx, the quality is good. Oem like install and so far so good.

Is that on a G83? Any pics of it installed? Which model was it and only front cam or also rear and if rear, where did you install it.

Shirt for all the questions, but have been looking at it and trying to decide.

G83 here with thinkware u1000 front and rear cam. Front is mounted as close to the top of windshield as I can get it. Rear is mounted to my tempered glass windscreen between the headrests.

Sorry, I have a g80. I only have the front cam installed.

Sure, but dusk instead of daytime.

The cam keeps power for about a minute after you park, so here is a sample video of that. indoor garage at night.

Nightime is not the greatest, but still 1000x better than the drive recorder.

For the g80/2. It's model B. The fit is perfect, very tight with no gaps or rattles. It actually looks difficult to remove once installed.

Great option! Wondering if the blendmount radar mount would still work and if the radar detector would sit just below the camera. Seems like it would be very tight.

Ah! You may have an additional sensor up there that I don't have.

The FitCamx model A, B, or C depends on having Active Driving Assist (Model C) or not (Model B).
