Brooklyn Grey owners...

If you had to do it again for the LCI, would you stick with BG or switch it up?

I have Brooklyn Grey. Love it to pieces and get lots of complements. It is my fav colour. If I was to do it again, I might consider Dravit or IMOG to change it up.

That being said, it would be tough to say bye to BGM….

Tough call….

I’m on my second BG. Did Daytona Beach blue and went back to BG. It doesn’t get old. Even got an X5 in BG too.

Had my BG G83 wrapped in satin black ppf. Sometimes I question my fickle decision making.

Another BG owner here who would do it again in a heartbeat. Previous E82 was AW and I wanted something more dynamic but also on the lighter end of the spectrum for my G82. Brooklyn has totally delivered.

I wouldn’t change it for a beat. Get tons of compliments on the BG. I think I will be wrapping in satin PPF soon though.

I would get BG again for sure. Really excellent colour and easy to keep clean/looking good. I would not have spec'd mine in the way I have it if I had bought it new, I would have probably gone for a blue or black, but having lived with BG for about a year and a half I really like it. Excellent colour and suits the car well.

It's a fantastic color, and having KO interior makes it pop even more.

Will most likely go with TBII on my LCI order with KO interior

Love the bg, but if I could do it all over I would go for the iomg. Always loved the green but didn't want something too flashy. Now that I'm driving the bg, I wouldn't mind a flashier color. Way too many i4's in bg.

Bg owner here, 2+ years. Bored to tears of it - recently wrapped. Completely regret it, and should have gotten a better color.

What color did you wrap it?

Had my BG G82 for 2 yrs 5 mo. and I still love the color, especially the way it changes the shade depending on the time & weather.
DG is much more dynamic in terms of shade/tone change but BG is still an interesting color IMO.
I can't find a standard color that I'd favor over the BG, but there are plenty of amazing colors if you go individual - which I'll probably do on my next purchase.

I bought an M340i on impulse after seeing it on a dealer forecourt in black, because I wanted rid of the X5 I had at the time.

When we were in the showroom doing the deal there was an M4 in there in BG, at the time I’m pretty sure it was an M car only colour, and not available on any of the rest of the BMW range. Wife loved the colour and couldn’t take her eyes of it, which is not really like her with cars at all.
8months later the dealer called looking to buy the M340i back as we hit the heights of the Covid period and slow sales/microchip shortages etc.

We had 2 cars at the time, M340i and an M235i and really only needed one, so they did a deal that suited us taking both in and me ordering an M440i in BG as it was now available across the whole 4 series range. Collected the car just before Xmas 2021 and everywhere I went people commented on the colour, and it being rare and stunning etc……

Fast forward about 8 or 9 months and BMW release it to every vehicle they make pretty much, so that now it’s on every 2nd X3 X5 3 series, 4 series, i4 etc that you see.

Dec 2023 there are some huge discounts on offer on the pre LCI M4, and temptation gets the better of me……..

Took a bit of persuasion with the wife, but she finally agreed, as long as I ordered in BG….

Wanted IOMG but she was having none of it, however going from the plain black interior to the full Silverstone made it worthwhile for me, and I still love the colour, even if it is now the most common colour seen on any new BMW I see locally.

Taking it on its first big trip next week with a drive from Hamilton to Kirkwall so will have the car on some of the famed North Coast 500 in Scotland. Looking forward to that.

BG owner here. Absolutely would go for it again. This color/finish really suits the M3. Just looks so amazing. I recently got a '25 X5 in Skyscraper and I think that is also a nice color for the M3, but I prefer the BG on the M3.

My rationale and why I made this thread: I think BG is a great color…especially on the 3 series. I’ve always drooled over Nardo Audis and now have a chance to order a similar color. So I did, I had a BG G87 M2 for about 6 months. Now Brooklyn is everywhere…partially my own fault haha. I handle the ordering of new inventory at a BMW store and it’s honedstly the third most common color on my lot (you can guess the top two) which is really the biggest issue I have with the color.

I toyed with the idea of going Chalk, Lime Rock Grey or even Bernina Grey…but I don’t know if they’re worth the $4095 premium (wholesale). I love Chalk on Porsche’s but they don’t seem to be identical.

BG is my favorite standard color for the G8x, but it’s so common that I’m now considering Dravit and even SMB. I’m all over the place and have about 6 weeks to decide!

I just ordered X5 M60i in BG to be parked next to my BG G82. Just because this color is more common now (and I am clearly contributing to it) doesn’t make it any less good looking imo.

I personally feel that the individual colors are worth the price and I’m not sure I’ll ever own a BMW going forward that isn’t done in an individual color. To me, it’s nice to have a color that isn’t seen regularly on the road as well as across the lineup from BMW.

Very true. My problem is the color is VERY common...working at a BMW store.

100% agreed. My problem is I can't quite find an individual color that I absolutely need to have.

Then honestly, it probably isn’t time to put an order in yet. Perhaps the car itself isn’t even at the “need to have” level yet for you? Color is a very personal decision but I’ve always found that once I find a car that is a need to have for me, the color choice isn’t all that difficult as I’ve then quickly identified a few choice colors that are the need to have. Sure, making that final choice is always tough but that final choice is always between the need to have ones on that need to have car.

Since you work at a dealership and do the ordering, is your dealership bold enough to allow you to spec a store inventory order with an individual color? If so, spec one with Chalk and see how you like BMWs version of it in person. I’ll bet in the end you end up liking it enough to spec your order with it. Hell, I’m not even much of a white/gray car color person and I’m seriously considering chalk with a red interior on an M5 Touring spec as I think that will look fantastic from what I’ve seen of other photos on here where people spec’d chalk.

Any time I get a chance to complain about my color, its a good day. Its not that I hate Dravit, but, for a $2,500 price difference in what I paid for Dravit, it wasn't my best decision. Fashion Gray FTW.

I don't think an M car is ever a "need to have" but I'm definitely ready for it. Bummed I'm going to miss this entire summer without a toy.

I'm just indecisive. Chalk is on my very short list of colors and probably wouldn't sealed the deal if I could just see it in person.

Unfortunately don't have the luxury to build an individual car for stock as all of my allocations are sold units.
