"If you're not gonna use it..."

I have miles and miles and miles of mountain twisties in my backyard, plus 4-5 race tracks within a day trip of me for trackdays. I have no interest in launching from stoplights...

I would die laughing if I got launch controlled at a city stop lite. I’d also buy said racer beers

Program LC settings to M1 or M2 button.

Roll up to light double click M button that LC is programmed to, floor the gas and brake wait for LC to come up on dash, release brake.

If you cant time that with the light, then just brake boost like someone else mentioned.

Brake boosting in 1st is a waste of time. You virtually immediately shift to second if in auto or must shift in manual. That's why launch control starts in 2nd on RWD cars. Suppose you could boost in 2nd. Haven't tried that, as I only do that kind of thing on the empty roads east of where I live. Then, I just use launch control. Fun--and more importantly, safe.

Nothing is proven on the streets and you are risking other people's lives for your enjoyment. Take it to a private road or street.

Having said that I don't drag because I find it boring, but I've done some timed races from a dig where a good launch is essential. I always turn off all DSC and I left foot brake. I don't brake boost because it doesn't need it.
