Don't buy the carbotechs. I had to return mine because every time you press the brake, there is a "cling" noise. The pads are too small and move when braking thus causing the noise. Thankfully carbotech is local to me.

Interesting. I've noticed the same clunk but wasn't sure why it was happening. I had hoped the installer would have mentioned something or that, you know, carbotech would have made pads that were a match.

Received my set of Carbotechs literally a day before I saw the posts about this clunking issue and see they are no longer listed for sale.

Had an appointment to get them installed tomorrow, but will cancel and return.

Thanks for outlining the issue with them!

That's even more frustrating as I recently talked to the guy from Supreme Power who sold them to me and he said there were "few incidents reported" but mine were not part of that batch.

Hey guys,

do any of you experience squealing on steel brakes when coming to a stop slowly?
I drive 2021 M5Comp and this is a known issue for the M5s as the pads are quite aggressive.
They also make a ton of dust.

On M5 doing a few 100-0 decelerations will cure the squealing for a few days but the dust buildup is impressive.

Just wondering if the same is in G80?

Thanks

You need to visit X3M/X4M, M5, M8, X5M/X6M forum.
Been selling tons of them in those market.

I've sold at least close to 20 sets for G8x platform through my IG and FB Group.

I love brake dust, makes my grey wheels look even grayer! Seriously though BMWs have always had a ton of brake dust. Part of the program

Same here. Heard very good things about Endless back in my JDM days. Reading all these posts makes me wish I went with the orbit grey 825M for ease of cleaning

My G83 arrived in August and I had the dealership install my CarboTech 1521's during the PDI. I couldn't be happier with them. No noise, little to no dust and no clunking and a perfect fit to the rotor diameter. As per their instructions I bedded them in too. See my earlier posts on this thread.

Purchased the next set for the G82, and same thing, exact performance I was expecting, that matched the F95 and the same 0 dust situation, I can drive so much and the wheels just never get dirty. Love it. Probably going to upgrade to the next performance level on this brand, which still has low dust just to see the difference when it's time for another upgrade.

Thanks. I'm done with the Carbotech since, despite what I'm reading hear, the clicking is atrocious. How is the noise on the street pads?

Hey so just to be clear, the notes say CCB Rotors, and you used them on your non ccb? They fit perfectly? No issues?
