I think they do! In a prior life I was a CCA concours judge, so I have a keen eye. The car was absolutely flawless and spotless for delivery. (And as soon as I pulled it outside, the crew moved an XB7 into the delivery room, whereupon a couple guys began a final detail of it.)

Just like the old days when you'd take pics of them in Germany during your ED. They looked really good there!

I remember him telling me that I had him for 2h to go over the car. I thought 2h?!?! Isn't this like a 20min thing? Because that's what my dealer has always given me and it was about that at the Welt as well. We filled up every minute of that 2h and could have gone on longer. It's amazing how much is in the cars these days.

Traverse City. Local dealer received an HEA M4 Base at launch but no G8x since then. The customer who bought it is local but doesn't drive his cars much at all. The dealer's first G80 is at the VPC and their first G83 is produced (both pre-sold). The only G80 I'd ever seen was a chance encounter in July in Indianapolis.

Yes, between iDrive7 and M settings, there's a LOT to learn about the technology. I've had or extensively driven BMWs with every previous version of iDrive, and OS7 is next-level in terms of customization. It takes an hour just to set up your profiles and settings, even if you know just about all there is to know about iDrive7.

Not sure I understand the difference between a digital key and a key card; I believe they're one and the same. What I received is a plastic card the size of a credit card which enables me to unlock/lock the car (when placed on the exterior door handle) and start it (when placed in the tray that doesn't offer wireless charging.

What is the other thing to which you are referring?

Yeah, that's what i am confusing. That card like a credit card is the key card. whether the blind spot detecting and 360 view is standard?

360 view is part of the Parking Assistance package. The other digital key is the iPhone/Apple Watch CarKey.

I definitely left thinking, now which menu is X setting in again? There is just so much in the car now.

Not to worry. 'Scheduled for production' normally precedes actual start of production by a couple weeks. Think of it as lining up all the parts specific to your car from suppliers, so they arrive at assembly just in time.
