The bottom 2 of just the wheels, is the brake dust accumulation, after 200 miles. Wheels are ceramic coated with CarPro DLux.

Almost ordered these wheels ten times. Think I'm glad I didn't order them from Baum, may have been a bit hard to return given the potential for bad finish work (they had a great price at one point).

Trying to ignore these posts of yours and save for the 992 CT, my fun money sock is feeling light. I *should* have ordered the wheels at the time I ordered the car as an option, but the dealer said I couldn't add them for some reason. I have to say I really like the look of that wheel, looks great with Dravit Grau. Maaaaaybe in the spring when the snow starts to melt, I'll order, by then I'm sure you will have hemorrhaged more cash on your car for something I may need as well!

chicagofan00 and I went over every price we could find. I was all over Baum, until they wouldn’t ship them to me.

I had another place on the hook, Emi auto parts, who’s also overseas. Which wanted a few hundred more. But then it was €700 shipping and I’m hearing as much as $500 for import duties. And to get that price from Emi they wanted me to wire them the money, and the exchange rate was going to cost me like another $150. Just too much, and now after the trouble with color.

I’m glad I spent the extra $400-$500 just to not have to deal with the headache of wiring money and the uncertainty of not being able to control what was going to happen with wiring money outside the country.

Not to mention if I’d had trouble with needing to get them warranty replaced.

Got the first two of four new wheels. They definitely look way better than the first set and I’m glad I asked for them to be replaced. Now just waiting for UPS to get their sorting error straightened out and for the other two wheels to be delivered.

Definitely. This set for sure got a better paint job as the bronze/gold is even a deeper and darker color than the other set.

Got the second set of replacement wheels delivered today.

The 3rd wheel is definitively better. The 4th wheel, while better than the first set of wheels I received, isn’t as good as the other 3. It’s amazing the kind of QC (or lack thereof) that is taking place with these wheels.

However, in the end, this may be as good as it will get and at this point it will become more hassle than it is worth trying to get another one. Appointment to get the tires swapped over and balanced is for Saturday morning. From there it’s on to ceramic coating the wheels and then mounting them on the car!

To bring this thread to a close, the replacement wheels are now mounted and I could not be happier. Even though it was just over a month from ordering the wheels originally, I’m happy to have gone through the replacement process.

Now on to determining my next mod…
