How did you guys have your wheels powdercoated? Just wondering if you put spare tires on? Or leave the car in the shop for a few days?

Do they insist you take them unmounted?

I live in the Sac area, and the local place, around here, just wants you to drop the car off. The remove the wheels, and tires, powder, and reinstall.

I was worried before buying them but in the end they look really good. I prefer them instead of to the black vers.

Sorry, new to cars. Will I need to do any modifications to my M3CX for these wheels? spacers/springs ect. Or can I just throw these on and I am good. Was considering these as my summer set and my 826M's as my winter set. My car is IOMG.

No modifications needed but can run spacers if you like. I have a M3CX with these and currently have a 15/12 spacer setup im running

I found this thread useful when I was thinking about either changing or powder coating my wheels so thought I'd add these , suffice to say I decided the latter and picked up a spare set of wheels for my car and had them powdercoated satin bronze. Fitted some 12mm(F) and 15mm(r) spacers at the same time and yeah I know it needs lowering

Does anyone know if it's possible to run a box setup using 4 of the front 1000m wheels? So 4x the 285x30x20 using 4 front wheels as opposed to the staggered 20" front and 21" rear.

My biggest issue with the 1000m wheels (besides price) is that nobody makes all season tires in that rear 295x25x21 size.

I'm strongly considering just powder coating the 826 bicolor wheels bronze chrome, but I'm not really feeling the 19" front wheel size.

Running the front 20x9.5 wheels square will work just fine. Just seems like a lot of money to spend on a square 9.5" wide setup. You can get fully custom forged wheels with better offsets and widths from BC Forged for about the same cost.

I made myself some 19" 1000M wheels for a winter setup (for well under $2k, lol). If you're willing to deviate a bit from OEM, you can do pretty much anything.

19x9.5 ET 10 front / Michelin Alpin5 275/35/19
19x9.5 ET 0 rear / Michelin Alpin5 275/35/19

They're about 9.7kg, so lighter than any BMW OEM wheel of comparable size. I am doing a set of 20"s too for summer but in a different style.

I should have them in about a month (same time frame as the car ideally).

That's awesome... you did this using BC Forged?

Sorry I'm not very well versed in the world of wheels. Under $2k is awesome. Ordering a set of 4 front 1000m wheels was ~$4,500 shipped.

No, not BC Forged. They make nice wheels (I've had them before) but would easily be double the price and probably wouldn't do that style.

It's through a company that does small volume fully custom forged wheels. It's an enthusiast/hobby thing so the pricing is very low relative to anything comparable.

Do you mind sharing their info? At under $2k I'd definitely do that over powder coating and certainly over ordering the 1000m wheels.
