I have a 2015 Max360 that has served me very well. Most of my driving is within PA, but am sometimes in NJ and - much less frequently - DE/MD.

Considering getting something new (smaller?) to go along with a blendmount/mirror-tap for my '25 M4 on-order. Given the uniqueness of the PA radar situation as compared with other states, I am curious what the other locals are running - thanks!

It's been a looong time since I recall my Dad having one. Has the law changed in PA regarding radar detectors?

My Dad had an old Cincinnati Microwave Escort in his 1st BMW back in the 80s (he's upgraded many times over and still uses one) -I was obsessed with it as a kid and have had one ever since I got my 1st car.

PA has odd radar laws as compared with other states as ONLY PA State Cops can use radar and they cannot use it while in motion - i.e. they have to be parked off the side of the road. Local cops are only able to use speed traps - the white lines you'll see on various roads, but it is illegal for them to use radar. Laser is apparently legal for State Cops to use, but I've never seen laser in use in PA.

In most other states, all cops (local and state) can use radar and laser -- and they can use radar while in motion. This is why the RD 'needs' for somebody who lives in PA could be different than somebody in a different state (NJ for example).
