Been in Galveston since 12/26. The dealer has no eta on when the parts are coming. I am expecting it to be a month or so.

That's not great to hear for you, or selfishly me. My car is supposed to be at Galveston around 1/15. Hopefully I do not run into any issues. My spec doesn't have the Driving or Parking Assistance packages. Not sure if that's what's holding these cars up.

Same here. No parking / driving assistance pro so hopefully no hold up…

The RAM is the culprit from what I am hearing -- which is on every car. Expect delays.

Here's to hoping that less options means less RAM required haha

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you are probably looking at April.

My dealer said this is affecting 3, 4, 5, and 7 series at the port.

How do you figure April? Though not official, it seems people are seeing them clear between 4-8 weeks once at VPC

It seems to be getting worse. I just don't see it happening in four weeks. Plan for the worst and hope for the best! I like to keep my expectations low and if it comes in faster then great.

Yep, it's the RAM these days. ZPK package isn't a hold up recently. I'm in Galveston since 12/26 myself.

We have both been there for 3 weeks now.. I check status everyday but no change on the website and no info from dealer. Have you checked this site?

Did the recalls appear after the car landed in Galveston? When I run my VIN, no recalls come up. My car is scheduled to arrive in Galveston tomorrow, so not sure if the recall tool will update after the car is processed at the port.

It might, but it's a really good sign you don't have any stop sales on it yet. Most are put on when the car arrives at the Germany port.

Thanks for the info. I am hoping for the best. But after being on this forum, expecting the worst.

Mine showed up when it got to the port.. just such an a$$ backwards way of doing things.. how do some cars sit waiting for the same part that a car produced today would have when it leaves the factory. BMW should finish our cars first.. FIFO for the win

I definitely agree on the FIFO. Reading some of the other threads, I cannot understand how some of the Week 1 cars are moving through production so quickly. Yet there are an alarming number of people that ordered in or before Q3 of last year that have cars sitting with no movement.

Quick question for you guys, do you have "special identification 2" under your standard options list in my garage?

Yeah, check it every day, looks just like yours. Dealer doesn't have a clue. I think these started showing open for me before the car arrived in Galveston, but it was close to date it landed, or maybe right after, can't remember for sure. I doubt making calls to dealer or genius is going to make a difference, but you guys let me know if making noise does anything for you.

I do. Never noticed it previously. What does that mean?
