From M2 to M4

Just picked mine up on Monday.

I was at BMW Encinitas and this little number caught my eye, I got a really great trade in price and an average deal on the car.

I only really got on it today and MAN this thing is a straight up rocket and has a really nice smooth and throaty turbo inline sound.

I don't think I'm going to be missing the m2c anytime soon and I'm looking forward to that break in oil change and some coilovers and spacers to make this thing perfect.

Congratulations - beautiful spec. We've got a small and growing group of M2C converts. After the test drive, I was surprised to find that the overlap in the driving experience between the M2C and G8x is greater than I expected. While the M2C's simplicity is its most successful charm, I'm happy to enjoy all the gains in interior quality and overall technology (missed the HUD), while leaving behind oddities like brakes that squeal at odd times during city driving and making surprisingly little sacrifice on steering, handling, and agility.

Enjoy!

This. A more livable but yet engaging car with a 6MT is all I ask. I will move to the M4 at LCI time.

It'll be interesting to see what Lci brings, but I plan on keeping this one until the g87 m2 shows up in lci form. I'll go back to 6mt with that.

For now I'm enjoying my first auto car and so far it's really doing it for me.

As a fellow M2 owner watching the build status on my G80 I appreciate this feedback. I only had about 90 minutes in the m3 on a test drive so please keep the comments coming!

I have a pretty good thread in the m2c forum with a lot of thoughts you can read through

It's titled something like:
