Anyone getting Carbon Exterior Package?

Anyone getting this?

I don't care as much about the carbon fiber as I do the changes it makes to the front and rear. It's a pricey option just for that though.

I agree the carbon fiber looks great, but maybe it makes more sense to wait for some higher quality after market versions at a lower price point. That package seems a lot for what it is.

it is but so are many things. I'd rather have OEM va aftermarket when it comes to those things.

I'm getting it. Mainly because I like the look of the carbon rear diffuser.

Also, is your profile pic from the newest deftones album?

I agree, i am going to wait and just get the front airduct splitter and rear diffuser on the aftermarket for 50% of the cost.

I'm a little conflicted about it because while I really, really like the changes to the front end I don't really care much for all the other bits and especially the price tag associated. I'd much rather spend the money on the carbon bucket seats and find and aftermarket solution to the front end.

as a fellow CS driver, you have to acknowledge the quality of OEM CF versus aftermarket.

This looks to be top notch and very intricate. If you go cheap (for example, RW carbon is quality but cheap), it will never match the intricacy in the design, the weave, and the fitment.

$4,700 is a lot of money but I decided the CF Exterior Package is a GO for me. I feel it really completes the look specially with the front air ducts vs. mesh, and having CF all around matches the CF roof and CF interior trim that I'll be getting.

On some colors it may not be worth it but I'm looking at Brooklyn Grey and the CF will provide great contrast and pop

I've made up my mind I'm going to get it. I really like the front and rear with it. It's a steep option but I don't feel like doing aftermarket.

I have to say BMW Canada made some nice packaging with the CF Carbon package, offering the combination of CF exterior trim + CF interior trim + CF bucket seats all for 10.5k CAD, for 2k less than buying the options individually.

I bundle like this would've allowed me to get the CF seats, but BMW USA kept them separate

You sound like you may still be in the market for one!

Nope. I did my research when making my decision and I am just sharing my findings. My choice is made and my next car is already on order.

It looks nice, but not for $4,700. Same deal with the CF seats. Looks nice, but not for $3,800. I went crazy with CF parts on my F82 and I know it's expensive stuff, but I think I'll hold off on this one. I'm already considering a $5k paint job.

In Canada you get the exterior and the seats as one. It's $8k. I got it solely for the exterior. The car looks so much worse without it.

Would I be buying one , I would get the cf package. Yes $4700 is kinda steep . If I like enough which I do it's worth it. Ps: I may be getting an AWD next fall. Happy with my m340 for now

the seats are easily worth $3800 as for the carbon pack that's subjective but OEM is better than aftermarket because the fit and finish will always be better than aftermarket
